All this discourse but remember what’s most important: she outalented, outlasted, outsang, outperformed, and STOMPED on Jlo. Everything else is secondary

 

We have to accept she been in the game since ‘98. Bey made a name for herself multi times. She a legendary act now and its time for the new girls to make their splash.

 

Most big artists 10+ years in they career do less (many will drop their albums and just tour). The fact we getting another visual project + a 3 album trilogy is beyond what I expected tbh. 

It can be frustrating but its gonna be worth the wait.

i went to a club renaissance night and maybe i got there too late but they didn’t play ahap i was pissed. but other than that it was lit like why does drunk in love go off so ******* hard it was definitely the littest song of the night. heated too and you could tell the reallll hive from everybody else cuz we knew the rap at the end  i want them to have another club renaissance night sometime soon   most fun i’ve had going out since college easily

I hate that shes rich and doesnt have to hustle anymore  who goes on ******* holiday after releasing a album 3 weeks ago and not doing **** since then aside from attending a party?

Damn, BMS #4 this week. I was hoping it would stay top 3 even though the predictions didn't suggest it. I guess we now just need to focus on keeping it top 5 for at least another 2-3 weeks. Maybe it can rise again.

 

Or are we boycotting until we get the video? 

Break My Soul being Top 5 is still a win imo.

I don't even know why we're surprised when it comes to Beyoncé at this point. She'll do as she always does then snap at the right moment to capitalize on the hype. I'm starting to think that we'll be getting a release date for the videos. 

 

I trust that Beyoncé knows what she's doing, but at the same time she's so out of touch at times.

His music is so mid to me, like outside of him wearing dresses and ballerina outfits I don't see the hype. I feel like Harry Styles is for an audience of young white women/girls who are into being "quirky" and different and hype him to the heavens about his androgynous and queer aesthetic, which is of course, just an aesthetic. 

 

The amount of viral tweets about how ground breaking, boundary pushing and activist-lite he is are crazy, especially when we JUST had Lil Nas X slaying the charts last year, with music that was for starters interesting and videos that actually caused conversations and opened dialogue.

 

And unlike Harry, Lil Nas was threatened in person by bigots and of course the "feminization of black men" crew and the like have made him enemy #1 everywhere. Plus the BET controversy and lack of recognition in his own spaces. 

 

Harry Styles is literally just an Ed Sheeran dressed up as David Bowie or Freddie Mercury, who just happens to be more attractive looking.

I’m happy for him I just don’t see the appeal. I streamed it and his last album gave more appeal imo. Kinda the same way I felt about Adele’s 25.

you're not alone! besides listening to each of her studio albums in full during the week leading up to REN, I also have been going back to her older albums whenever I take a break from REN. I listened to Dangerously In Love and 4 last week, and a few tracks from B'day (Check On It, Deja Vu, Upgrade U) because they're on a playlist.

 

Lemonade used to be my favorite Bey album until RENAISSANCE dropped and it's kinda getting no streams from me lately tho
