It gave very much that. It feels like she recorded it just wanting to process and release some emotions she was feeling knowing it wasn’t going to make the album.

That cover of SOTR just got me EXCITED for Wicked.  She sounds like Judy. No Ariana-style vocal runs, etc.. just very controlled. Stunning.

Her describing things as intimate and personal as worrying that her crying in bed at night over Mac dying would wake Pete up or the guilt she felt, even in her own suffering, that being so unconsolable about Mac could make Pete feel like their relationship had no future. 

 

That kind of consideration and emotional maturity I honestly don't think I've ever heard in a pop song before. The "I'm a girl with a whole lot of baggage" line repeating feeling like her pleading for him to not let her trauma define who she is as a person and what they could be. 

 

That + the 'on the brighter side' ethos of thank u, next's title track are what I also hear in Outgrown.

I've been a stan for many years now and been lurking in here for a while as a guest and I finally got the chance to join for New Year's!!!

Just want to say that I'm very excited for AG7 and I truly hope we don't need to wait until 2025 or some **** like that to get it 

I've never listened to unreleased songs because I'm very much attached to the concept of albums and releases, but the drought made me love Outgrown, I love when she gets real and at the same time she's always so mature and wise when she handles personal situation.

 

I love her lots but I'm not listening to her much since she went away, so it was refreshing to hear something new. Plus the SOTR cover made me so excited about Wicked, I don't care how it does I know I'm gonna walk in the theater shaking for excitement

hope she does more things similar to the SOTR cover, atleast that's some sort of "new" music

someone on her team is taking things into their own hands and playing GODisawoman.mp3 over here because photoshoots and new clips are l-wording the songs have been nicknamed dream and eternally, it's hard to hear over the watermark but they seem cute

eternally is allegedly a 1:10 interlude for something 

i think she lied to us and did in fact record new music before wicked started shooting

It was released as a single around the time of Mac's passing and her breakup with Pete so the entire sweetener era was cut short.

She wanted R.E.M to be the third single and was pressed Republic basically usurped her and sent It to radio. That's why she was being trollish on social media and did that video for it with Piggy Smalls nkjnkjnkj.

the positions album cover is so insanely bad in retrospect  looks like cvm smeared on the camera lens
