There could be a million reasons. Maybe it doesn't include bundles because they're not reported until the end of the week, maybe some retailers are missing, etc etc. We just have to see how it shakes out.

Is she not about to do MORE than ARTPOP, Joanne and ASIB in a worse sales climate, civil unrest AND a global pandemic without the major promo run that she does for all her albums?

She’s already predicted to be close to 300K without any promo (she’s the most promo-sensitive pop girl) so idk what’s so unrealistic for you?

Based on the music/concept (an artistic letdown that wasn't fleshed out, yet again) ... if anything the promotion would've aided the 3 pre-release singles to be bigger. Better album sales? Possibly propelled by increased strength of the singles, but not by much because the music is meh.

 

This Gaga is a shell of her former self artistically and musically. Fame Monster was def her artistic peak.

 

This album was actually a very cool concept too. You're telling me that she didn't think of making a high-budget teaser video that explained this new world she was creating and the different tribes wasn't thought of? Something akin to The Warriors would've been amazing. And she definitely had the time.

I’m not understanding what your personal opinion has to do with her sales which are better than all of her albums in the past 9 years, and in a time when sales have plunged for the entire industry. 
 

She’s predicted to outdo ARTPOP, an album that came out 7 years ago, when sales were much better. 
 

Idk why you think her reaching 350K is out of the question with major/regular promo, when she is predicted to be close to 300K WITHOUT any promo. And might I add, as we’e seen with all of her releases in the past, whenever she promotes, her sales go up, sometimes exponentially.

And she can go full ham with that... but for now, this is such a lovely treat for fans, so happy she's pulling in such good numbers (especially given the circumstances)

it also means she can do some of that bigger promo deeper into the album era which will give Chromatica some longevity. She tends to usually go ham release week and then occasionnaly give it a push later on and then abandons the record. This time I think that because she was not able to fully flesh out her vision for Chromatica she may try to deeper into it's chart run which is fantastic! We will finally have a long and FULL pop era from Gaga. Joanne came close but many just did not like the music on it unlike Chromatica where like 90% of the base is satisfied with it! Exciting times are ahead but first we of course must prioritize what is happening right now and I am proud of Gaga for doing that even on her album release week

It can't really be solely personal opinion when the numbers and critic reviews match as well, no? The Fame Monster was her peak. Grammys-wise, visual-wise. Bad Romance - Alejandro - Telephone.

She'll do 30k-50k from tour bundles 

And she already did 107k pure sales the 1st 4days via Rollingstone and that's without the bundles (bunndles are usually reported last day)

Gaga is extremely promo sensitive. Joanne’s predictions kept going up thanks to the promo she did (SNL + Carpool Karaoke). Her album release weeks usually have some performances and appearances lined up. Chromatica had nothing. Her Fallon appearance got canceled and even her online store where the album/bundles are available got shut down. Many music/Target stores were shut down as well and  some of them had a shortage. didn't even tweet about it since the day it came out.  
 

It’s an unfortunate time but I’m sure its the least of her concerns. And it should be anyone’s least as well. The album is already opening with bigger #s than many of us were expecting.
