Actually digital age started the mess with hyper-increased longevity that inflated the position of all of the recent songs 

It's bigger and more impactful, no surprise there.

The chart has always been messy though, even before streaming

I don’t agree and think streaming gave it more of a boost that it deserved because shallow did not even feel half as big as born this way/bad romance/bomt. Hell I even felt just give me a reason was bigger than it. But congrats Gags.
