TLDR, unless they are sellouts, Black people aren't voting Republican because above everything else, they hate racist. And republicans have become the party of racism and money hoarders. Bigger issue is them just not voting.

As conservative as older black voters are, they aren't going Republican in mass. While older black Americans may sometimes align more with republicans in terms of value, they would never vote for a group that is outwardly outlandish against them. They will be the first ones to tell you about the party swaps, their fight to be recognized in the Democratic Party, etc., and will continue to be a part of the Dem party. This portion of the party is more interested in people "doing their time" and "proving themselves" in the party. It's why they went for Clinton until Obama proved himself. It's also why, online and in person, you saw some prejudice coming from that community over the past two years towards Hispanics and MEs, because the communities reaction became "why should we now care about your issues when you voted against your own issues/voted for someone without a possibility of winning. All this to say, the issue isn't them voting republican, it's them not voting at all. I actually don't see that happening in Texas because (anecdotal experience) the Methodist and Baptist churches here have already started preaching about our people dying to vote, so we need to get out and vote, and we need to volunteer to take the elderly to the polls. Talarico's black support will remain around the same I believe, and I think the Hispanic vote can get him over the edge. Can't tell you about the midwestern black American, but they won't vote Republican. It will more of be a "yall didn't support us two years ago, why should we support you now" issue and just convincing them to get out to vote. But black people always come home.

At that level of wealth they have at most 10% liquid. So someone worth 150 mil net worth is going to have 1.5m liquid with the rest investing. Unlike others she can't borrow against assets because she already has leans on them until 2029 (allegedly). So if she is walking around with 1.5, she isn't going to spend 200k of her money on the firm, and if she is hemorrhaging money, it makes sense until last minute to pay because she is maximizing gains on the assets. I don't disagree that she is broke, but she isn't poor. Those people broke and our broke are two different worlds.
