Everyone in here acting cocky when Ariana, Gaga, Jonas Brothers, Halsey, Post + whoever else went #1 would have all been blocked as well if they had chosen this week to release. :deadbanana4:

Everyone didn’t choose the worst song to release on the worst week though.

You are right, but maybe this week she can :)

None of them pulled the desperate stunts that Taylor pulled this week :priceless:

None of the vinyls or physical CD's count until they ship in 13 weeks. So she wasn't really being that desperate for a #1. Swifties wrongly assumed they would so we bought them all.

She actually managed to move 50k digital downloads from her website. That's a pretty impressive sum in 2019.

This “curse” makes no sense since Madonna and Katy were able to obtain more top tens later on.

This makes more sense.

It’s a course for the song, not for the artist. When a song reaches exactly the #11 position, it usually doesn’t reach the top 10. Some examples are the songs that member posted.

IF :skull:

OT: Taylor is so huge :clap3:#2 on hot100, some songs can’t even reach top 50 after 365 hours or 365 days of released...

I miss reputa Taylor. I'm over her being a nice girl.

Oh wow. Poor Taylor. She might actually be over.

#2 is a huge success and proves Me! had a massive opening week. Stay fuming y'all. I don't like her but never in any space in time in any universe will a #2 song be a flop.

If anything she will have another reputation-like era. I don’t see her completely collapsing.

A #2 is not bad at all. What's bad is trying every ****ing thing and failing to get that #1.

Congratulations! This is a massive #2. Whats important is to keep the momentum going before the album drops.

OTR might as well be a song by Drake or Adele, it’s the strongest #1 in recent memory, it’s broken Drake’s streaming record multiple times.

Oh wow, we really should be celebrating this. ATRL is winning! :clap3:

Hot Digital Songs

3 (DEBUT). P!nk feat. Chris Stapleton - Love Me Anyway

Hot 100

96 (DEBUT). P!nk feat. Chris Stapleton - Love Me Anyway

would have been an easy top twenty debut a few years back :shakeno:

Since they were bundled with digital downloads only the physical copies of the CD and vinyl whose downloads weren't redeemed will count, BB won't count the same sale twice. That is if BB didn't stop counting physicals for Hot 100 overall.

Drunk in Love would have definitely hit no. 1 if it had ME!'s rollout. There is no comparison. :lmao:

But since it's Beyoncé, they will claim we are making excuses and her last #1 was in the Bush administration. :toofunny2:

On-topic: Daddy Brendon won nonetheless.

Well they didn’t need to do any “desperate” stunts because the points for the #1 were literally half what they are now. :deadbanana4:

He means that sales are so irrelevant right now that the 3rd best selling song in the US barely debuts at #95 on the Hot 100 (based on sales alone)

While years ago it would have been eaily a top 20 hit based on sales alone.

Who knows? Brendon might help carry the song on airplay since he’s had a recent massive hit himself, but Taylor by herself is basically at radio poison status right now, so it’s hard to say that she’ll get another hit beyond this one.

???

Delicate, her last single, was literally huge on radio.

That was a paid-for hit, courtesy of her label. All the other Reputation singles were paid dust.
