We were ultimately spared from a crushing wave solely by the grace of SCOTUS taking the Dobbs decision too far and sparking a massive backlash. If the decision had been as watered down as Roberts had wanted, instead of the maximalist position taken by the other 5 members of the court, then the Republicans might have actually flipped the Senate.

There's just as much doubt surrounding whether or not Kamala would also run again. It's highly possible that both of them don't, and then who would the under-35s flock towards? With Ossoff also taking himself off the table, that leaves Newsom, Buttigieg, and Beshear. Not to mention, the actual base of the party still loves and adores her, and they have never blamed her for losing.

I think it's less about it being a Jewish holiday, and more about the fact that they've never done it with this one before.

Democrats will ALWAYS make the worst possible decision when it comes to nominating for president. Whether that worst choice is Newsom or Shapiro is going to be an extremely close contest. But the left will be expected to eat a bowl full of **** and vote for either one without a single complaint like always and we will be to blame for when they lose.

Joe Manchin has also endorsed Susan Collins too. But he left the party and went Independent before retiring. Still, it's funny in retrospect given how everyone has been saying we should have had Conor Lamb over Fetterman when... Joe Manchin is literally the guy that Lamb was running to be the spiritual successor of. And that part just gets memory-holed in order to dunk on leftists even though Fetterman won every county in the PA primary back in 2022.

I'm sorry but her only chance at actually winning the primary is if she runs against Chuck Schumer. If he retires, then whomever else runs for the seat is probably going to be running from the center and will probably win due to upstate New York. In fact, I personally think Cuomo would be much more favored to win in a scenario like that than he was in NYC against Zohran

Tbh I think Shapiro has the best chance of winning the nomination in Kamala's absence. He has the electability argument that no other candidate can make as a governor of a purple state who is currently winning his battle for re-election overwhelmingly. Ossoff is the only one who comes close, but there are several caveats and reasons why he shouldn't be considered. For starters, if KLB utterly BOMBS the governor's race in GA like it looks as though she's going to, then he should no longer be in consideration, period. Depending on a historically weak candidate like her to win is absolutely a no-go.

Harris and AOC both not running is actually pretty likely. At this point, the furthest left candidate will end up being Pete Buttigieg.

Not just Macklemore. Anyone who's ever had pro-Palestine opinions made public will be poisonous to touring promoters and venues and they'll never take a risk like this ever again.
