maybe it's a stupid question but do labels have to pay for sth when they push a song to the radio? :celestial5:

That's radio deals. The deal can be the first week, the first day, or just few hours.

The Middle reaches top of pop radio at 61th day in top 50.

That's much faster than Maren's first country radio #1 song (needed around 280 days in top 50)

Well Country radio moves at a snail's pace, so that's not surprising.

Radio doing it again to Dua, they will start spamming it when the song is done everywhere else like with NR

The spins have been nice lately, but big stations need to start playing it tho

Now New Rules is still very strong at pop radio and yet to tumble down. We have to pray that radio will play IDGAF even with NR staying as a super recurrent song.

Billboard only has New Rules at 4 weeks at the Top not 5.

Nielsen charts are from Monday-Sunday and Mediabase charts are from Sunday-Saturday

but still a great run none the less

It must have been the 1st week that did not count as No1 on Billboard. It was very close with Perfect.

The fact that it's still getting positive updates some days and it managed to have a positive bullet again is so impressive.

It is still in super heavy rotation both on Z100 and KIIS.

SUNDAY PUBLISHED 3/25 UPDATE:

CHR/Pop:
26 22 DUA LIPA IDGAF 3788 3038 750 15.556

Dua's Top 40/M peaks to date:

#1. "New Rules"  ***5 weeks at No1***
#21. "Scared to Be Lonely" (Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa)
#22. "IDGAF"
#23. "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)"
#37. "Be the One"
#41. "No Lie" (Sean Paul featuring Dua Lipa)

Chart run: 47 − 32 − 28 − 26 − 22 − (...)

That was last Sunday. It is at No21 today. It has slowed down a bit. I am not sure if the call out is there. It is doing very well on Spotify, but it is not very US radio friendly. It is one of the very few non hip-hop, rap and RnB songs in the Top40 of US Spotify along with Meant to Be, The Middle and a few others.

All her singles before NR were treated so bad. I always thought that Scared to be Lonely was going to br her breakthrough, but again treated very bad.

This New Rules run is some kind of redemption of US radio to Dua.

Do you think that we have a chance to get a callout score for TMYLM tomorrow? I'm curious to see if they love it

It's possible, TMYLM has a higher audience on Pop than Lauv's I Like Me Better and that was on the last callout score released last week.

It's still kind of confusing what they mean by 60% familiarity tbh, there really isn't an accurate way to predict when a song will show up on callout scores.
