  1. The only good thing about this tanking is that if the song doesn't perform well enough to reach the Hot 100, they could release that promising remix early
  2. The teaser sounds promising and a welcome change from "143," so I'm sitting down. The only thing I don't understand is this rollout of dropping hints from one announcement to another announcement, which then leads to an interview about another announcement. I'm not even going to expect anything from Capitol Records -___- but if the stars align, maybe this will be the year they finally promote Katy properly
  3. "Zombieboy" is certified diamond in my house, so...
  4. I read all 11 pages of the thread and I'm surprised no one mentioned one of the biggest sales drivers: Disney collectors. They're voracious consumers and the reason I didn't get any of the TS5 vinyl records (and many Swifties too). If Disney is already shipping the CDs, it's probably because they have enough to keep the song on the charts for a third week. And if they decide to restock the vinyls and even autograph copies from Taylor, you can be sure sales will skyrocket.
  5. I don't think I chose "Wonder" because of its potential as a hit or its virality, but because of the message the song conveys, especially when performed in USA. Maybe I'm just overanalyzing, but that's what I think
  6. I know that the people in the Songwriters Hall of Fame heard the masterpiece that is "cowboy like me" and were so gagged that they felt compelled to induct Taylor
  7. As long as there's a song that resonates with the audience and/or goes viral on TikTok, Dua (and any artist, to be honest) can remain successful even after a flop album. TTPD didn't perform well, but "Ophelia" is a hit and popular song. Billie didn't have a massive hit with HTE, but she did on her next album (BOAF). This also works in reverse: neither Sabrina, Chappell, nor Miley Cyrus had big hits on their latest albums despite releasing huge songs on their previous ones: Espresso vs. Manchild, GLB vs. The Subway, Flowers vs. all Something Beautiful (Justice for Walk of Fame!). Again, I don't think a bad album is the defining factor of a declining career these days And even if it were, Katy Perry flopped with 143, but she's still gaining streams with her back catalog, so her bank account will always be over six figures—she'll be fine.
  8. "Into You" is not only one of Ariana's most representative songs, but it also boasts some of the best production in her catalog, showcasing her full vocal talent. (My favorite track on the album is "Knew Better", so I'm happy to have received the second part today, although it's a shame we only got one bonus song ). Edit: typo
  9. If Anne Hathaway reads this, I'm your number 1 fan
  10. NuevaYol would be a great song to start the show with, just saying
  11. Doja has the right to sell whatever product she wants at whatever price she wants. Similarly, I have the right to choose whether or not to buy the product, and I won't buy it because I'm broke af
  12. I know this has been said ad nauseam, but red is definitely her color. She looks gorgeous
  13. This smear campaign is so obvious. No one wrote articles like this about Beyoncé, Ariana, or Charli, for example. Much less about Lionel Messi, Hugh Jackman or any other successful male celebrity. Assuming that a woman can't maintain a career while raising a family reminds me of a word that begins with S and ends with exism.
  14. Taylor chose orange because it's the only heart emoji color she hadn't used
  15. I like Cardi, but announce an announcement is so annoying
  16. So what's the plan for "Intro (End of the World)" to reach #1 on the Hot 100? That song and "I Wish I Hated You" are my favorites on the album
  17. Where's Miley? Smilers don't deserve a tour or a deluxe atp
  18. I don't quite understand how TTH works. "Easy Lover" went from #1 to #23 in a single week After that time, does the song rank based on the number of streams it receives, or does the record label have to pay to be higher?
  19. I suspect Miley left RCA and took her outdated team to Columbia. No one with a modicum of knowledge of the US charts would release an album just a few weeks after MAGA Wallen's, especially if the artist in question isn't having strong sales or streams.
  20. Baldoni's team is doing everything they can to make people forget that this is a case of sexual harassment.
  21. I hate this. This song is way better than Flowers My theory is that the two songs she released just a few days earlier killed the hype.
  22. I don't understand the album rollout. What's the point of releasing buzz singles two days before the actual lead? Anyway, this song is a BOP . Honestly, I like it much more than Flowers, although that might be due to overlistening.
  23. I don't know much about kpop, but this is horse sh*t, sorry
  24. I have Woke up on loop and NTFNY is a bop , but I'm confused: is OK supposed to be a single (they put it on some playlists)? I hope I'm wrong because that song sucks
  25. Hopefully Nicki includes A-list stars and not a bunch of khias
