The new Nazi Party wants to remigrate 25-30 MILLION German citizens. So, open your gates Europe, ze Germans are coming.

The Nazi-Party wants to re-establish that only bloodlines can determine Germanhood.
The Nazi-Party wants to close all schools and put children with learning disabilities in concentration camps.

The Nazi-Party wants to abolish the Euro and leave the EU, kick out all doctors and teachers and intensify relations with Russia.

The Nazi-Party wants to return to values taught in the former German Democratic Republic (1949 - 1990), including jailing and killing political enemies.

Nazi Germany is Back (2026-). It'll be interesting to see how long it will last thing round. It lasted only 12 years the first time (1933 - 1945).

And the far left BSW wants to form a coalition with them.

Unfortunately this result in that state was to be expected. After years of giving rather unusual results to political parties from the far right and left, it seems that the eastern part of the country will settle with the AFD for a rather long time to come.

After all these years of the western German states pimping up their infrasctruture and boost their economy with a rather low percentage of immigrants compared to the rest of the country, you ask yourself: what exactly is their problem? The only answer I can think of is that they hate everything and everybody, even themselves.

Could someone explain why a far-right party is so massively supported in former Socialist German states?

I don't believe that economic inequality is the only reason. The populist wave alone can't explain this massive shift, there must be more phenomena to take into account, or am I wrong?

What a bunch of disgusting nazis. The beginning of the end of Germany. They seem to forget how it ended the last 2 times these guys were that stupid. I just hope this time they just destroy themselves and not the rest of Europe.

Honestly, the party is great at using populism, misinformation and straight-up lies to blind their voters. If their voters knew what the party actually stands for, they would know that they won't benefit from it the slightest. It's just a camapaign fueled by racism. The same thing that happened in the US.

Of course it doesn't help that the other big parties try everything in their power to lose voters.

Like I posted above, there were always sparks of big popularity for far right and far left parties in the eastern states, but not to this extent. To be honest, the very few times I was there, it felt like a different country, especially when you leave the bigger cities like Leipzig, Dresden or Rostock. A good comparison is Texas. You have places like Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio that are blue, but the deeper you go, everything turns blood red. Same with the bigger cities in eastern Germany and the smaller ones, but this result just speaks volumes of how incompetent the average voter is.

Germans can't resist to urge the release the monster in themselves. History repeats itself. I just hope they face the consequences of their actions.

The regression is crazy but it kinda also makes you see how it happened back then too . But back then people didn't have all the access to information like we have so it kinda made sense for them to just go with whatever they were told . It's just sad to see us with access to all the information and still making the same horrible choices as in the past

But what consequences would they have to fear? You have Reform UK in Britain, you have Le Pen in France, you have VOX in Spain, Trump in the US, you have Israel, Russia, China and a bunch of other smaller states that have parties that stand for exactly the same.

Because it's the entire of the pendulum swing that happens whenever any kind of extremist ideology takes over. That's the problem. The left thinks socialism is the answer. It's not. There are plenty of examples we can name where socialism was detrimental to a society and their citizens. These citizens come to the west to escape this. Then on the other hand, when socialism takes over, the right becomes fringe and starts embracing ideas of old school facism. Until there is some sort of balance it's just going to get worse

Third times the charm. If I were a German nazi, the last 10 years would have had me frothing at the mouth in anticipation.

I forgot, the number 1 goal of the AfD (after remigration) is to destroy all renewable energy plants. The person who leads the AfD in Saxony Anhalt openly claims that there is no climate change and that it's pretty cool during summer - not even warm. (15,000 people died in Germany this summer).

I was in Berlin 2 weeks ago (on a class trip with my students) and it shocked me that there was almost 0 AfD ads. Berlin is pretty left and I loved that. I hope that Die Linke wins the next election there.
