    Confessions II songs have melody

  • Brat is a masterpiece and Confessions 2 is just much better than expected. The Sabrina feature knocks it down several points, should have went with Shygirl or Arca.

Brat & it's by a wide margin. Greater variety (sonically & thematically) in a shorter runtime & the production completely blew CII out of the water, it's not even a competition there

It's really close for me, but I'd give it to Brat because I think it has less filler overall. I love Confessions II, but the more I listen, the more I feel like a few songs could've been cut.

More iconic too

CII for me, but brat captured the moment better than most albums out in the last couple years

Confessions 2.

I really like BRAT, but I tend to skip through I might say something stupid, Talk Talk, Rewind, So I, Girl, Apple and Mean Girls.

That's not to say CII doesn't have songs I'd prefer not to listen to. But due to their transitions and overall vibe of consistency it's easy to let them playa as a whole without getting annoyed.

Easily Confessions II. Brat was an incredible era to witness and captured the pop zeitgeist in a way we hadn't seen in years, but the songs themselves are overall rather unremarkable from a purely musical perspective, even within Charli's discography.

They are both incredible albums.

BRAT is more culturally impactful.

Confessions II is better musically.

The one that's not vapid.

Tell me you've never listened to BRAT or paid attention to the lyrics without telling me...

Confessions II easily. I still love about half of Brat but find myself going back to the remix album more than the OG

I like Brat. I've listened to the entire thing multiple times. I would not call it a soulful album.

I recommend you revisit it one day. There are many deep and introspective songs on it lyrically and thematically, clashing with the party girl songs.

In that way, I think BRAT and Confessions II are quite similar. They both have this dark aura with deep, personal lyrics hidden among the dance tunes.
