but I do get OP, since ATRL and fan circle atm, aren't really that into it
even magazine publications rank it super low on their lists nowadays, when it was so much more (tbh arguably the Most popular VMA moment)

that's understandable but tbf, it did receive (and continues to receive) international recognition. **** i wasn't even ******* BORN when this happened and i know it. i've only listened to a song or two by madonna and a few britney spears and xtina aguilera hits (different generation / don't get it wrong / they're all incredible) but i ******* read about it and the discourse around it, and watched it. i mean, it's up there alongside the biggest pop culture moments of the 21st century, of all time, and among the biggest award show moments as well.

i don't think there's really more recognition it could get, you know.
