Harvest Christian University (HCU) is not regionally or nationally accredited by any agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Honorary doctorate degrees are so stupid at this point.

For anyone who doesn't read about this kind of stuff, this is actually kind of a trending phenomenon lately where Z-list community members are setting up non-profits, charities, organizations, etc. with "University" in the title with the only intention to host events where they can "honor" people more famous than them with honorary degrees like doctorates. Everyone gets to put on the doctoral robes, take pictures, and use them on Instagram. That's literally it.

"Harvest Christian University" that honored Chris Brown just offers certificate-type programs on an open-enrollment schedule that I'm sure no one actually attends. They honored Shereé from Real Housewives of Atlanta with an honorary PhD last year. It doesn't actually give out Bachelor's or Master's degrees or have an academic calendar (or students skull), etc.

Similarly, "Leaders Esteem Christian University" last summer honored Cynthia Bailey from Real Housewives of Atlanta received an honorary "Doctor Of Philosophy in Humanitarianism". If you check their website, it's clear it's not a university anyone actually attends. It's just a yearly event run by a pastor who's looking to brand on social media by getting pictures with celebrities like Cynthia Bailey, Towanda Braxton, and Yung Joc.
