Not to get too personal, but I have a parent that was homeless for a few years due to mental issues and I can't begin to describe the feeling of powerlessness that comes from doing everything you can to help someone only to watch them turn your efforts to ash. Eventually things worked out and they're in a better place now. But during their roughest years I felt like the world's biggest failure as a son for not being able to wave a magic wand and fix everything. Lil Nas must be going through hell rn. I really hope he has a solid support structure in place during what was already a pretty fragile period
