Her latest album, Hades is out of the top 100 after only 3 weeks. For reference, her previous album Portals spent 16 weeks inside it. What went wrong? Why is the GP not here for the Piggyback songstress this time around?

Ppl have no taste. The album is great.

Her first week #'s were still solid, she has a solid little fanbase that will support her. The GP has kinda grown uninterested, as seen by the lack of longevity on the album chart.

The same few tens of thousands of people can't keep buying and streaming the album forever

Eventually the core fanbase isn't enough to keep it afloat and the GP clearly isn't biting at anything she puts out so that's just the way it is

she's doing fine... 15M monthly listeners on Spotify, Top 3 album, 74 on Metacritic (!), another album loaded and ready to go this year...

taking into account the type of artist she is and the music she makes, she's actually doing better than most.

she's doing just fine and doesn't have to rely on the GP. Her fanbase is small but loyal

I dont wanna be rude but her face is genuinely off putting and it makes me not want to hear her music, thats not even including the diaper play

I didn't forget the allegations against her and I guess most people didn't either

She's always been creepy to me

To be completely honest, it's because she's not white and blonde and she doesn't do the "sexy bimbo" thing .

I don't particularly like her, but I can recognize that she has outstanding vocals and there's passion in her work — that's not trendy right now

And aside from that, she has a strong cult following. I don't think she needs to be number one with 3974 variants or whatever.

Her worst album + Tumblr era that loved her grew up and are over that shtick/sound

Nicole Dollanganger delivers similar lyrical content and visuals without it being shallow and tacky, and more of an insult to the societal topics it's covering. Melanie's music is shallow, it's a mockery to the serious topics it tries to portray, and her music ages like milk.

The mental gymnastics people go through to defend her despite all of the allegations surrounding her are disturbing. A lot of her music has an air of uncomfortableness that cannot be ignored. It's shameful and disgusting she has been allowed to have a career when others have been canceled for even less.

I don't have nothing against Melanie, I really like her first 2 albums and Portals was... OK, not really my style.

But... HADES is a MESS, the lyrics are bad and the production is not great, overall her worst album, is not really likeable. 😮‍💨

This has to be the only place where you'll find people calling her vocals outstanding
