Charli xcx - 'Music, Fashion, Film'
ok I will what I remember from memory SPOILERS card declined - very grungy, the most "rock" sounding on the album, chorus talks about shopping 2007 - the Apple of the album, most pop sounding, kinda doesn't fit the other songs, I found it kinda fillery but may grow on me, I think this is the one she's gonna push on tik tok (the visuals were tik tok and she spoke on the film the song is literally about tik tok) I'm afraid - amazing vocals, the most deep song, lyrics were about being scared to repeat the same mistakes in past relationships, I would compare it to every rule and sorry I hurt you lyrically, my interpretation was it's about her regrets and mistakes she made in past relationships and the fear of repeating them now she's a married woman, she said George loves the song, very "rock" sounding yeah - very repetitive, most of the song is the same lines repeated, I could be wrong but I think it was "I don't want to do this, I wanna do it, I don't want to do this, I wanna do it. Yeah" (that could be wrong sorry), it's the most "troll" song lyrically, the song is upbeat. persona - very true romance vibes both in vocals and production, very moody and tumblrcore sounding, this is very "old" Charli, resembles a lot of her unreleased music magic metal montana - I honestly didn't like this one so I don't really remember much 💀 all of my friends said it was their least favourite as well, it was mid-tempo, she said ag cook was very involved in this one during the film no one lasts forever - amazing song, arguably the best in terms of creation and quality, it's very pop leaning and anthemic, the chorus is explosive, lyrics are depressing and to do with nihilism, the ending with David Cronenberg is him repeating "no one lasts forever, everybody dies" about 50+ times (I may have the quote wrong), second half of the song is the outro which is those lines being repeated, second half is sort of scary and haunting it could be on a horror soundtrack, the visuals were of different videos and moments of her career combined with clips of cronenberg films, song is amazing and makes perfect sense as a "closing" song. sorry that's all I can really remember like the person said a lot of people in my showing were talking, laughing, etc so it's hard to digest from one listen but that's what I remember pretty much aha
