They had an explosive start, this forum and Twitter were obsessed with their music, MVs, etc., but now it feels like everyone is asking them to disband...

no growth (regression, actually) and nothing to make them last the test of time. they will probably be better off solo but as a group they all feel super phoned in now with their AI videos. can't even

  • They didn't release more music like As if It's Your Last and Forever Young but instead chose to rehash DDDD for 8 years

  • No talent Bad music Ran out of 2ne1 demons Racist Can't perform ect.

They were supposed to be replaced by NewJeans but HYBE didnt want to let that happen.

They finally got a taste of freedom/solos and were basically forced back together when they should've all been out exploring their solo careers and new ventures further. It wasn't a Destiny's Child situation where they wanted to reunite for a final album. Everything about this mini has been a disaster from the start and they probably feel restricted again. The cherry on top is the new music being diabolical and them not giving a single **** on tour.

This forum drags their solo careers a lot but there was genuine interest and I think Jennie still has real solo potential.

To be honest, they've always been consistent in what they bring to the table, which for a girl group is impressive. However, I would wager their solo endeavours provided more and showed just what could be, musically, for them. They're good together, but they're even better apart, if that makes sense.

I agree that they regressed and sold out, lowest possible effort to make the most money

Lisa had a lot of potential and she is my favorite, but besides a handful of cherry picked songs (Chill, New Woman, Rockstar, maybe Thunder), her debut album was really mediocre and disappointing

Rose's album bored me, but congrats to her for smashing with Bruno

I didn't have high hopes for Jennie but her album really surprised me and was the strongest debut album, I keep going back to it

Hopefully Lisa and Jennie bounce back and have solid sophomore albums

Why should we care more about their music than they care about it themselves?

Who said that? you just made that up

the only girlgroup ever with all successful solos btw

the second anyone in a group goes solo it's game over: it becomes financially, mechanically, and mentally liberating to not have to work with additional people, and so it's harder to get enthusiastic about being back on board. that, and then the public narrative of "they broke up, they're back together, they're not over" yo-yoing becomes confusing and people lose interest.

They all just wanna be Rihannas so badly.

What does this even mean lol? And they're all superstars in their own rights anyway

They kinda just never cared and people got tired, it took long but it happened eventually

They don't care about releasing music, just want to be influencers.

No talent

Bad music

Ran out of 2ne1 demons

Racist

Can't perform

ect.

Their solo effort being way better than their group effort...

All of them (or maybe 3) want to be the Beyonce of the group.

I mean go underperformed but they have one of the biggest debuts on Spotify, sold 1M albums, 20m views on YouTub imagine if it was a good comeback yall would be gagged if it was a pop girl

I mean the current era mainly feels like a contractual obligation than something they would have done themselves.

The overall timing also feels very unfortunate. a Tour in support of the mini, starting in 2025, but the mini being out now

A mini being chosen as the release strategy, while everything about this feels more or less a last hurray and they probably have actual good cuts on the shelves as group and as solo artists that could have been used and maybe release an album instead (without the Dr. on the credits)

It's always YG. He needs to retire and give the business to CL or at least someone more deserving and creative. We don't want Dr Luke in the credits.
