I mean, she literally told us point blank she was a covert narcissist cosplaying as an altruist in her mega hit smash "Anti-Hero" I'm not going to watch the video because I don't really care about he

  • Didn't watch but yes I agree

I love a Taylor Swift wacking like anybody else but i do need us all to remember that we don't actually know these people.

There need to be an international ban on the word "narcissist", it's so so overused omg. EVERYONE is apparently a narcissist and apparently everyone online knows a billion narcissists irl, which they can perfectly assess despite not knowing sh1t. It's just too much.

I'm not going to watch the video because I don't really care about her or her universe anymore, but most celebrities are textbook narcissists cosplaying as relatable and cute or deep and artistic. It's an act to get you to emotionally connect with them so when you give them hundreds or thousands of dollars, you feel good about it even though they're no better than Walmart, Apple, Facebook, etc. They're just smaller in scale.

You have to be willing to screw people over again and again in favor of your own success and also possess an inordinate amount of self-confidence to succeed in the entertainment industry. That's why people with morals and good mental health fail and don't go very far.

Taylor Swift has proven clearly through her actions that she is VERY willing to screw her female peers over if it means nabbing another fraudulent week at #1 or destroying the reputation of any female artist she might perceive as a threat to her own brand. What she did to Olivia Rodrigo was absolutely fowl and disgusting. That was the moment I stopped supporting her completely.

Is she not a narcissist?

How the **** would I know ? skull I don't know Taylor Swift, I don't listen to her music, I don't know her personally.

It's just so annoying and lame how everyone and everything is labeled as narcissistic by online armchair psychologists who got played by their ex and is now mad about it.

Well it's kinda like the term "racist" or "sexist" or "homophobic". People use these terms incorrectly all the time as well, and so the weight of the word loses its heaviness and meaning.

People just need to educate themselves on what narcissism really is. It's not someone who's a little arrogant from time to time, nor is it someone who disagrees with your political or worldviews. It's a full on cluster B personality disorder that is diagnosed by possessing a list of specific traits at intense levels, and it is VERY REAL. They are some of the most vile, cruel, and evil subhumans on the entire planet, and if you ever had a parent that suffers from this disorder, you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

Not calling actual narcissists out for their behavior because you feel like the word is "overused" is literally enabling them and their abhorrent behavior.

mte rip like why act obtuse

we dont know kanye personally either

Every artist sells a lot of variants, except she can actually sell them. ( people really think Taylor herself on a wednesday evening is checking the spotify daily charts to decide if a remix needs to be released ace...)

Politically... she spoke against Trump, "yes but conflicts, wars etc"? I think everyone with two brain cells to rub together would realise how dangerous is for one of the biggest popstar of all time to say even the most nuanced things about that...

I don't really get what happens in a lot of people minds when it comes to Taylor Swift, there is definitely something triggered that should be further studied... she makes POP music, Ophelia is cathy, a lot catchier than a lot of pop music this year and other artists are never that ANALYZED, we're talking pop singers, people pretend like they are philanthropists who write yearly essays titled "what's going on in 202*" and she is the only one who dodges inconvenient questions ...

"She shifted from being a narrator to talking about herself "

90% of artists started their career doing that and never stopped, the bigger popstar cannot do that because the problem is not talking about herself (like basically everyone does) THE PROBLEM IS SUCCEDING WHILE DOING THAT and some people really cannot stand it.

Based on the YouTube comments, I think that YouTuber attracts the same audience that he himself depicts : narcissistic, envious, trying to be the best in the class- behaviour, only that he is not successful and wants to seem smart attacking someone else...

The op has one of the most insane parasocial relationships on this site.

I HAVE a parent suffering from this I know what it looks like deadbanana But otherwise agree with you, but I will stand on people throwing this term around like it's nothing, especially because it gets engagement on social media.
