kinda wild how the new gen just don't like or respect Madonna and I lowkey think her bullying Gaga played a big role in that. Maybe it's stan delusion but it was so heavily publicised and what a lot of us knew of her growing up. If she were kinder I'm sure Gaga would have collab'd with her and kept her name alive, who knows maybe if she played her cards right she could have been her new Tony

The way OGHs in that NYT thread were bringing up tweets with 5k likes to push their narrative but if you were to post this in there then they'd say a comment with almost 240k likes isn't representative of the GP

But also Madonna's treatment/bitterness towards Gaga definitely hurt her public perception more than she may care to admit, especially since Gaga hasn't treated newcomers that way. I think she's realized this (hence the Oscar photos and following Gaga on Instagram) but what's done is done (and so many of her stans acting psychotic to this day doesn't help either).
