She should have never performed Million Reasons at the SB and it's place should have been taken by You and I. If she wanted Joanne representation, she should have sneaked either John Wayne or Diamond Heart.

And obviously it didn't happen to avoid the narrative that she needed Beyonce, that she couldn't do the SB on her own and to not play the Beyonce card again, but I still think Telephone kinda would have been an historical moment with both of them on stage doing the original choreo.

Million Reasons wasn't what was wrong with her performance, especially considering MR went on to do pretty decent on the charts and is close to joining to 1B club. It was just an overall safe show, especially for her standards. Nothing wrong with it, it was well received when it came out but I don't think we should be salty all this time later thinking it deserves a spot in the top 3 or 5 just because it's Gaga.

Kinda crazy that Gaga/Michael are gonna have their 7 year anniversary in December. I think this is Gaga's longest relationship so far too, if you don't count that on/off BS with Luc Carl.

well tbh, the halftime show was never a platform for the new IT person to promote their new music while at their commercial peak (with exceptions like Kendrick, BB this year and maybe Katy). Although this might become the new norm soon

It's traditionally reserved for well-accomplished artists (Rihanna, Madonna, 2017 LG after fixing her post-AP image, 2013 Yoncé…)

plus booking it twice, especially for someone who already headlined SOLO makes it even more unlikely

But her booking Coachella twice gives me some hope. Like could you imagine the absolute COLLAPSE it'd be???

I would take a new album any day but the fact that she had multiple other projects lined up makes me skeptical about a whole record coming soon. The Weeknd song could be part of a new album, so that would make sense. We also have the DWP2 song though, and Requiem coming out hopefully soon. Maybe a fall album would make sense.

MAYHEM was finished by June 2024 but didn't come out until March 2025, meaning that we can't really know for sure.

But if we use Born This Way as a reference (the other album she both wrote and recorded while on tour) she began the process around March 2010 and the album came out roughly 14 months later, with multiple singles released before the full drop.

If LG8 is following a similar pattern that could support a similar 12-ish months timeline... August 2025 - August 2026?

Then TFM just took 4 months to record and Joanne barely 6 months, so it could happen

2 things can be true:

1. MR is a good song, we love her!

2. Her SB performance lost momentum/energy when she started doing that song and she lingered on it for way too long.

   Bonus: She also spent way too much time on Bad Romance, it was not a good use of time and lowered the overall quality of her performance. Applause was literally right there and it fit the theme so hard, she should have done it for 60-80 seconds.

Girl shut up love You and I, but SB happened on Joanne era, it wouldn't have made sense for her not to promote the album. Plus its what made her have a top5 hit from every era so far. And Million Reasons aged incredibly in her discography, its about to hit 1 billion.

Would be iconic if she just appeared for like 5s during "p-p-p-paparrazi like I'm Lady Gaga"
