I blame Ferando Garibay. All the tracks with DJWS on ARTPOP sound fine in terms of mixing & mastering, Dance in the Dark sounds as tinny as all the Fernando Garibay tracks on BTW. Also noticeably, all the tracks on BTW where he hasn't laid his hands on sound noticably more balanced (Judas, Hair, Scheiße, Yoü & I).

My theory is because they mainly recorded most of it on too many different studios, 6 of it on the studio bus which probably didn't have the best equipments. Also Fernando Garibay is not a very good mixer, doing songs in too many studios probably was a lot to him, so most bad mixed songs are produced by him.
