Not surprising, just nonsensical. deadbanana Even with the Chrome ball, she still had an arena stage. What is it with her and wanting this kind of staging for stadiums? She works with the best touring companies, clearly has the budget... but just does this? rip Anyways, I'm not there so IDC, I would just like to know her reasoning.

I'm not gonna keep complaining bc at the end of the day I'm not there and don't care, but this is soooooo funny. rip The lighting for the show overall is quite dark and gloomy so putting the production in box makes it even harder to see. ahh

I guess we can "excuse" the chroma ball because there were only 20 dates and they didn't really want expensive staging and with MAYHEM Ball being "arena". Now it will be a different conversation when we get a proper stadium tour in the future and still get arena-like stage

The main stage setup is more than fine because the screen itself is massive and the runway is decent enough length imo. Unlike Joanne, I'm happy she actually is bringing the entire show to stadiums and not cutting anything down. I think the major concession being small side screens in such MASSIVE venues is a bad oversight though. At the very lease I can imagine it wouldn't be that hard to get wider side screens because the promotional shows did have them. They should be double the length that they currently are. Also not really buying the 'there's not many stadium shows' excuse at all because there are Kpop tours that are still profitable with much fewer dates than Gaga has that have much much bigger stages than she does and also were able to scale down their shows to arenas.

Example: Twice's 2023 Ready to Be Tour that only had 8 US dates. For Arenas they had this MASSIVE main stage setup (like Gaga does for Mayhem) For Stadiums they had gigantic side screens that bled into the main stage perfectly and were huge.

I dunno, maybe it's Occam's Razor and this is the ultimate answer, but I'm not believing it. Her staging as is, isn't "cheap", it's just designed for an arena. It wouldn't really cost all that much more to put up bigger screens or overall just make things bigger.

Plus, Gaga gets paid a certain amount regardless of how much the staging costs.

Part of me is like, is it her being stubborn about "not editing her artistic vision for the venue"? rip Sounds like some kind of explanation she would give.

Yeah, this is why I don't believe the reason is cost. If a KPOP group can do it, Gaga can do it.

Simple, it's just easier to use the arena stage.

Sure, but Gaga herself is not setting up the staging so this wouldn't matter. There's something keeping her specifically from wanting to use bigger stages.

Literally only the beginning is minimal lighting.

She's done like 50 shows in this exact setup so I'm sure she doesn't want to change the staging much. I dont think the boxed stage in itself is even a bad thing. It helps to control lighting effects much better. Even the actual Coachella main stage wasn't that much larger than an arena stage (I was there). The main component that makes a stadium show is the size of the accompanying viewing screens. The screens are massive and can literally be seen miles away. That's what her team should have done, they should have provided much larger main stage screens, expecially at the price point of her concerts.

If we're comparing, the middle screen is pretty much the same like Gaga's, and the side screen is the same height as well, so not like Gaga's is much smaller. It's just less wide.

I didn't see anything about minimal lighting, I said the show is dark and gloomy, which it is. The first section goes into Garden of Eden which is green with a darker background. The LoveDrug section is purple with a darker background?

Yeah, I understand it. But yeah, it is what it is.

No, she literally has to perform on the stage, the only way not affecting the whole performing crew is to just have a bigger side screen and change nothing else. If you change anything in the central stage, Gaga has to rearrange and rehearse again.

These screens would be even look smaller in Sydney since Accor stadium is much bigger than Marvel.

Bigger side screens like what they had on promotional tour would have been great.

Watching the livestream, the only thing that makes it look small is the width of the side screen, if they make it 2 times longer it would look completely fine tbh.

This is a scam rip

The truth is no one gives a flying fart about the stage being this or that, minus some fans online. When you're there, you just are having the best time of your life. This tour is amazing, acclaimed and she's so happy.
