This is part 2 of the Lady Gaga discussion.

This absolute nonsensical comparison. rip Women can and do donate eggs. (It's a very invasive medical procedure with health risks, so it's obviously not as popular as simply jerking in a cup)

Same goes for plastic surgery, transition, etc.. Everyone has a right to do whatever they want with THEIR body. I don't understand the outrage over someone willing helping a couple out especially in a case where the female went through hip surgery and is fighting with fibromyalgia. It's not like this is against anyone's free will.

I'm very against surrogacy. But I feel like a) we don't have enough information on how the surrogacy took place: if it was altruistic, a friend, even a family member, etc.

Even if it isn't, I feel like it's different from like a 65 years old woman having a kid for example, or Kim choosing it for vanity reasons. . I'm not saying having a kid is a right, but women BIOLOGICALLY have a motherhood clock and it can be very hard to not be able to have a kid on her own. If the US allows surrogacy, I can see why parents, out of all backgrounds, that have saved some money or have a willing family member/friend, choose this option. This is not like being from Spain and going to Ukraine or Russia to take advantage of poor women.

Gaga has always wanted to give birth, if you have seen FF2 she was scared of not being able to give birth. And that's probably what happened. Now, the ethics in this are confusing, but we will literally never know how it happened. This isn't a weird 65 years old woman using someone else's sperm and the surrogate's egg. If you don't believe Gaga didn't do this as ethically as possible you don't know much about her.

Since FF2 I knew that her first baby was probably gonna be a surrogate and that she'll probably adopt in the future, basically because pregnancy is extremely high risk for her with a metal hip, fybromialgia and experience with psychosis

And after all, I see very few people in this world being a better mother than Gaga. Love, morals and money from two loving parents, with Gaga's visions on parenting (the little she's shared) being exactly what the world needs. I'd worry more about certain celebrities and people in general being allowed to have babies when they are going to mistreat them and bring a future heavily traumatised adult to a nearby prison.

Gaga having a pregnancy with fibromiyalgia + hip replacement surgery + 41 years would be a very very high risk pregnancy, for her, and the baby. There's no way of knowing all the details but judging by her usual conduct I'd say she went about it in the most ethical possible way.

This implies she'll be working after the sumnmer (well, the HBO release of The Mayhem Ball in November is quite likely so she probably was helping edit with baby Gaga, although this time she might have taken a full on break and let the editing to...well, editors haha)

She doesn't do the editing herself (as seen in the actual Gaga Chromatica Ball credits), so I'm sure her editing suggestions wouldn't take much time to provide

I'd say her coming out in April in a super tight Mcqueen corset rules out she had the baby, even if she's one of these woman with very small tummies (which exist lol there's endless stories of people not even knowing they were pregnant and having a baby one day)

Oh, idk, but she made it seem like she cut and stuff. Of course I don't see her using the editing software itself, she probably has enough with knowing the basics to edit a MV plus all the music software she uses, but I do think she probably decided almost everything, like she was in the same room with the editors. Obviously I highly doubt Gagaloo Mother Monster has any idea on how to make a transition smoother on highly technical software but she surely "directed" the artistic editing

The news from BabyGaga made me come back to Vanish chick3

Do you see me? Do you see me now?
I've been waitin' for you, cryin' out
Do you see me? Do you see me now?

Saw your face and mine…

I never knew surrogacy was so controversial and shameful lol. I think some of y'all are being super weird about this.

So they've could've become parents as early as June? If so, the fact that it's just now become public information is actually crazy. I wish them (and the baby) the best in this new journey together and I hope they continue to get the privacy that they've been able to have thus far.

Side note but the fact that every leak from Gaga's camp stopped once Ritchy got the boot is ******* frying me rip

That thread being filled with the most VILE opinions biblio

I remember her saying this during TF (?) era:

"I have to be really honest: The people who say they can't escape the paparazzi are full of sh*t."

It's genuinely admirable how she has always remained in total control of her life and narrative as a high profile celeb for twenty years. The fact that the baby is months old and we are only getting to know now is crazy. deadbanana

I've always criticized rich people using women in financially precarious situations to carry out their wishes, so it would be hypocritical to just nod and smile now. She deserves the lashings she's getting recently.

It's shameful but as a lifelong monster I'm still happy for her, kind of.

Unironically, in the US most of the women who act as a surrogate tend to come from middle class backgrounds that are financially stable (that also applies to most "donor services" for medicine and research that involve an informed consent process).

But that's a discussion for another time, I need to celebrate the ban of certain demon that has plagued this forum for FAR TOO LONG

BjorkIsMyMom

Rest in piss! Hopefully there's more bans to follow!

It's literally not. The OGHs need to touch some grass cause this is peak mental illness… reminds me of when suddenly the Glenn Close and Kirsten Stewart stans came out of the woodwork when Gaga was headed towards the Oscar… shakeno

Literally no announcement from Gaga. Just a few paparazzi photos have people in shambles. ahh

I'm sorry, every other popstar made a big deal about their pregnancies with photoshoots, videos, songs, etc. Gaga being the one who did it all privately is so funny to me.

It's not controversial. These people don't like Gaga, that's all it comes down to.
