Just finding out about this- she was in her Elton John-piano singer-songwriter glam-pop BAG during this time

I think she learned from Joanne being kinda half-baked/compromised, and just fully committed to that sound for ASIB. Also there was less pressure since it wasn't a traditional "Lady Gaga' album cycle and she didn't feel the weight of expectations of living up to her past work.

I need LG8 songs to have instrumentals that go as hard and iconic as Poker Face, Just Dance and Paparazzi. Ever since Joanne, I feel like she focuses a lot on her vocals and sometimes the instrumentals (although incredible) get a bit left sided.

My main question is which night are they gonna use the footage for The Dead Dance from since they can't stitch the multiple nights together because she changed outfits.

The outfit from night 1 will most likely be cut since she was having problems with the hat coming off. Also they changed the performance after night 1. In the first verse she used to walk over to the dancers on the side of the stage. They changed that to the dancers joining her from the beginning. Also they changed the ending with her going all the way up the stairs so she could lay down on top right before LoveDrug. They will mostly likely just use footage from night 2, 3 and 4 for TTD, LD & Applause. They used the same outfit and she did another close up take with the handheld cameras for night 2 during TDD.

It's actually for an animated film called High in The Clouds that's been in development hell since 2012. This picture is them working on a song for the soundtrack in 2015. And they posted it in 2019

Apparently though the song isn't scrapped though. The movie IS finished and has a massive stacked voice cast including Ringo Starr and Celine Dion too. It's scheduled for a release in October 2027.

Back then the producer said it was a funky soul song with brass and live backing singers for one of the characters in the movie and since in 2015 she was very much in her disco/funk/soul bag I expect it to sound like her Stevie Wonder cover from the time. Very 70s.

As a big jazz fan I'm awaiting the day she finally does original Jazz music. Harlequin was spectacular and a great blend of jazz, adult contemporary and pop-rock.

Truly one of my favourite albums she has.
