Lady Gaga

This is part 2 of the Lady Gaga discussion.

Harlequin really came to life with breathing space from JFAD and the concert that injected her personality. It reminded me of her 'TF Ball' tour she did from March-Sept 2009, as if she was a new artist who believed in Jazz. 10/10 clap

Ok first of all, Merry Christmas Little Mierders!

Secondly, PHEW, we only got 2 Happy Grammies performances and they both were 10/10. I like how random this project feels in restropect. She decided to sing her new jazz album privately and then realease the recording a year later lmao. I remember she said she felt more free around having multiple eras at once or smth like that. Me likey too

Temporarily pausing my hiatus from this cult site to give ACROSS THE BOARD 10s for the HarleSMASH special. Quite over the moon about how this all came to be, given I've arguably been the biggest supporter of this project since it dropped hippo

Can I just say that 2026 will usher in my SEVENTEENTH year of stanning this woman (rip) yet she still manages to bewilder me with her raw, limitless, & amorphous talent. There is quite literally no other living artist who can leverage their talent across so many mediums like Gaga can — she continues to set new standards for modern artists clap3

I hope Grammy voters also have the same experience & give her the AOTY win (it's hers to lose imo) as well as a fighting chance in ROTY (really f*cking want this one the most). The crawl to February 1st will be brutal but I have a good feeling the wait will be worth it gayhemcat

Grammys Thoughts

AOTY: Gaga leads, Bad Bunny could spoil

her most likely GF win given several impassioned rap albums will likely siphon votes away from Kendrick. Benito is a wild card but I just don't see how the voting body goes for him over Gaga tbh.

ROTY: Kendrick leads, Gaga could spoil

As I said, this is lowkey the win I want the most. Abra was THEE RECORD of the year. Luther checks all the boxes but that would be such a snooze fest win, esp after Kendrick's sweep this year. Abra winning would be a statement with an exclamation point from voters.

SOTY: Kendrick leads, Gaga could spoil

Idk how to feel about this one. On one hand, Abra's production is stronger than its lyrics however this category has been more about the artist than song in recent years. In addition to AOTY, if Gaga were to win a GF award for Abra I truly think it's a toss up of whether that will be song or record.

PVA: Gaga's name should already be engraved on the trophy

TPVA: Laufey leads, Brandi/Elton 2nd, Gaga strong 3rd

Pop Solo: Sabrina leads, Chappell 2nd, Gaga strong 3rd

Pop Dance: Gaga's name should already be engraved on the trophy x2

Ultimately if I were to guess Gaga's Grammy wins this year, I'd say:

  • AOTY

  • PVA

  • Pop Dance

Could easily see her adding ROTY and/or SOTY if voters are on the hype train. Ironically think her hardest wins will be Pop Solo & TPVA… who would've thought? deadbanana4

It's been a while since I've been here, very busy from the Christmas Holidays. First of all, Merry Christmas ATRLiddos.

mayhem

And wow, the talent coming from this 5 foot 2 woman is just beyond words. Can't believe I've stanned her since she performed Just Dance in the Miss Universe 2008 contest. What a wonderful ride having followed her career from the very beginning.

The Harlequin One Night Only serving talent and theatricality, she's so Broadway ready. Happy Mistake was such a revelation, love her Folie A Deux performance and her Close To You cover has always been a highlight to me.

Oh GODGA, the TABS overfloweth.

that happy mistake performance was so on point it made my oats tremble

Joker and happy mistake are incredible live.
don't care for the rest but her voice is fantastic

Imagine stanning a singer who can't sing LMAO ahh

The Harlequin special was fun. Her vocals were insane the whole time but especially during the Happy Mistake performance. Every time she performs this I transcend jonny5

The special is good becaue even though it's jazz it's still Gaga to the core and not casino lounge singer suburban

What a Christmas gift! jonny5 Since it ended up being my fourth most-streamed album this year, I loved, loved, loved the Harlequin special. I sobbed during Happy Mistake and I really enjoyed how carefully crafted the staging was, her vocals and how deeply Gaga embodied the character. She's demonstrated, once again, that she's in her own league. What she conveys through her performances is truly unmatched weepsheart

Merry Christmas, liddos! biggrin

Just finished watching. This woman never fails to amaze me wow just wow. With The Art of Personal Chaos and then THIS!! no one can touch her, she's in a league of her own. The vocals, the energy, the personality, the cinematography, all perfect a 10/10. clap3

the way happy mistake keeps STOMPING despite being on haglequin. ooooohh blade of chop, don't make that face ! santa

merry christmas ladies !

Merry Xmas liddos

Today is the day to introduce your families and loved ones to a Gaga classic that is sure to bring them festive holiday cheer

This was so good. I swear Grammy Mistake has to be one of the best songs ever or something like that. deadbanana2 The way its live performances outpeaked the album version is insane.

I genuinely think she felt her character was getting sidelined and basically created a whole new version of it. A movie about THAT girl is a Best Picture contender and I will refuse to think otherwise

I think this is the best take. Because she's such a pro, she still promoted the hell of that movie, but you can tell (and I did like the movie very much) she worked a lot on that character and it hasn't been fully exploited in the movie cut.

Gaga's That's Life is the best song of all time, why?

Not too much on Mother Duff when she's been compared to the likes of Barbra Streisand and Patti Labelle

I think she's losing the GF again this year as apart from maybe AOTY there's stronger arguments, despite her being in the top 3 for all. But… she may win the jazz one unexpectedly and that'll be her moment instead
