I have the privilege of a loving Dad but The Optimist still somehow cuts me deeply. She really created a work of art with that one.

Weren't you the one making predictions last week and hoping she wouldn't chart? How did you feel when you saw her scoring her sixth top 5 album in a row with 83k? It looks like your autopen campaign d

I listen to mine versions from the Walmart cd since none of my vinyls have arrived

My favorite one is wake up mine she made the song more pop

come clean also sounds more rock as I can hear the guitar more

I feel like fly would been perfect to include with this

I have the opposite situation and The Optimist hits too close at home but it also gives me comfort, it describes exactly the feeling of such situation, beautifully crafted

The excessive complaining about autopen (mind you, this version was the same price) is peak Karen behaviour toofunny3

I don't think it's Karen behaviour at all. Artists do this to encourage sales and you spend your hard earned money on it.

You guys just wanna sugarcoat over it. It's still a fantastic album and I love her but I'm not going to pretend that it's ok to do this, especially when she's actually confirmed on instagram herself that she did but anyways, did you even order the vinyl?

You can literally apply this logic to any topic that gets made on here about celebrities or gossip. like it's ATRL. what are you expecting?

I get everyone getting upset by the autopen situation, and feeling scammed. THE ONLY EXCUSE I can give her is that they were sold at the same price as the non-signed. Had it been more expensive and autopen, I'd be deceived.

(haven't received my signed CD nor vinyl yet and I'm traveling for the next 2 weeks so prob won't see them before next month coffee2)

I think people are valid to be upset. Either sign them or don't sign them at all.

Labels and the artist know "signed" encourages sales, especially when it comes from the horses mouth that they will be signing them.

The "signed" vinyls are still available to buy now btw. When they kept being restocked over and over I knew it was fishy.

Most of the people mocking fans over it probably didn't even order it. love her regardless and can't wait to see her live on tour.

If It's not personally signed to you, it's a half second lazy scribble before they throw your copy in the pile anyway, who gives a **** lol. This whole thing with artists and ordering signed copies online never made any sense.

Oh yeah that user is a troll, I don't think they are even a fan tbh

I'm sure Hilary is not The only artist who has done auto pen

It's just that she been expose unlike the others but people should Let it go

Did that user get a hold of her Wikipedia page? Surely this isn't getting "mixed" reception ace

Luck... or Something was met with mixed reception from music critics. According to the review aggregator Metacritic, Luck... or Something received "generally favorable reviews" based on a weighted average score of 70 out of 100 from five critic scores.[52]

You guys need to get over this autopen thing. She has 4 kids and was literally touring just a few days ago.

She signed what she could, but apparently the demand exceeded their expectations.

touring? she had 4 shows

Because it's a signature that was put into an autopen system. It doesn't have to be a perfect signature, like Miley's wasn't, but we just want it to be real.

That's not an excuse. Charli just did that for Wuthering Heights signed art card and they were all signed. Some were bad, but they were signed. Taylor signs all of hers. If Hilary couldn't handle how many to sign, she shouldn't have restocked it.

Her comments are flooded with autopen accusations, and I'm genuinely curious how they'll address it. Turning a blind eye feels risky at this point, and it's starting to reflect badly on her/WMG. It's a shame, because aside from this, she's been absolutely crushing the marketing and promo cycle. Honestly a 10/10 era.

I know these weren't sold at a higher price, but Hilary herself had previously replied saying she'd be signing all of them ("pray for my hand"), so it's valid for fans to feel misled. And I can only imagine WMG logging in tomorrow to a flood of refund requests.

I still haven't even had my signed CD/vinyl dispatched, and I pre-rdered in the first batch back in November. If anything, maybe they'll make sure any orders that haven't gone out yet are genuinely hand-signed, even if that means a delay. I'd personally rather wait a couple more months and know it's real.

It's been a 10/10 era I agree.

From what I've seen 100's of people have emailed them. I think this will either make them reconsider even doing it in future or they just wont care and continue.

Most of the people invalidating fans aren't even fans or don't even buy records from artists themselves. If it said "signed by print" I would have still brought it but it's the audacity for these labels to deceive fans imo.

A lot of people are vinyl/signed collectors so it makes a huge difference.

Haven't listened yet, but i'm excited for my vinyl, i love the cover so much
