I don't think that's the point though, I think it's more the fact that an artist takes their time, energy and value into signing with their own hand rather than a machine. They should have advertised it as that, simple as.

I remember there being rumours of a song for The Perfect Man, but I feel like that could have been Break My Heart given the context of the movie.

I don't think she has THAT many outtakes. Like surely self-titled was 17 tracks because they just included everything that she had recorded? And then Anything But Up was used for that charity album, Crash World for Cinderella Story, etc. So I feel like what we got for Most Wanted was probably all she had.

Edit - Oh and her and Joel broke up in November 2006, which was the month that Dignity was originally supposed to come out before it was delayed because of War Inc.

I love the softer version but the rockier version isn't terrible. I just don't know why they kept the seagull sound Maybe I'm crazy but I feel like someone updated the album and made it sound not that much different on purpose to confuse execs. Someone should really ask her. I'm sure she remembers something but no one remembers that album besides Fly Hilary clearly does though. She made the similarities with Mr. James Dean for Now We Don't Talk. That album is low key her best beside Dignity.

It's so sad Crash World got soundtrack treatment. She discussed it for the album I'm sure It's such a damn good song. Now You Know is a beautiful ballad too.

Yes, that is the problem. It sounds great in AirPods & my speakers but defintely not with my studio headphones.

I'm actually shocked at how much i enjoyed this album on just listen. I'm not really a fan but this is surprisingly good!

Yeah, she talked about Crash World being for the new album on The Girl Can Rock DVD. I don't mind it cuz I played the hell outta that CD too. It's kinda crazy how much she was doing at the time. Like I was only 9 in 2004, so time moved slower then, but we were eating real good

I feel like I remember Gypsy Woman being the last song done for the album? Like the sessions she had with Ryan Tedder, where she (maybe) also did Reach Out and Holiday? I'm not really sure how much the album would have changed from the delay to the release, as she would have been busy shooting and then the promo cycle for the album began in February.

Stranger/Gypsy Woman were rumoured to be about Nicole, but I do think they actually were about her parents like she claimed at the time. Dignity I think was just about Hollywood people in general, not specifically her either.

I didn't know that until I watched the DVD recently. It makes sense though, sounds like self-titled even though it fits the movie perfectly weirdly. Wonder if she rewrote bits and pieces. Same with Now You Know.

I didn't know that though, I also didn't know Winston Churchill was the sample in the beginning. Just found that out last night. Also didn't realize Haylie cowrote Gypsy Woman. They really were angry There was a song called Twisted I remember and I wonder what happened to it. I always imagined Play with Fire might be about Joel though at least.
