I was going to vote Ray of Light but the run from Hunter > All Neon Like is kinda insane and the album closes with All Is Full of Love so idk :jonny5:

Bjork's music just sounds like noise to me, so Ray of light.

There's no way you can still say that after listening to songs like Joga, Unravel, All Neon Like, All Is Full of Love...

Homogenic is a trailblazer of an album, and still completely singular.

Ray of Light too is stunning, but also desires to please, it's basically as far as commercial pop could be pushed without losing commercial appeal. And that latter holds it back from exploring tension and friction in the way Björk does. But we're talking about two albums that would be highlights in any artist's oeuvre, so there are no losers.

I really HATE HATE HATE your thread title format, @YOUR MARVELLOUS SUGARBOO.

We already know who those albums belong to, so the artists' names are unnecessary. Also, why did you include the release year? It's completely irrelevant to the discussion. And why are you styling the album titles in all caps and putting them in quotation marks? It looks terrible. Was it really necessary to specify that both are "studio albums"? Just say "albums."

Do better, OP. Do better.

OT: There are few albums that are better than Ray of Light, Homogenic is one of those :alexz:

Ray on Lyrics and the rest is Homogenic.

Vespertine is better than both.

RoL is great but it definitely gets a little lost in the sauce a few times in a way Homogenic doesn't.

ray of light is excellent but homogenic is my answer.

imaging kicking an era off with 'joga' :jonny5: and ofc we love all the highlights but the underrated tracks like immature are my faves :jonny5: and don't get me started on the b:sides, sod off and scary :jonny5:

Not a liddo pitting genre changing albums against each other cause every in other Gaga vs Madonna poll you did, Gaga flopped

I love Madonna but there is no album of hers that I would put above Homogenic. ****, there's no album from the late 90s at all that I would put above Homogenic... except maybe TVR.
