We need another "More Than That" and "Expectations"

  • Expectations will always be one of my favorite songs ever, her voice is so good ugh she deserves more recognition

The beat drops right after the snippet ends but I love it regardless :ducky:

aww i love this! its definitely a departure from her past work. it hits so much more on the second listen :clap3: i can't believe we're finally in the album era :duca:

i will say however, she really needs to work on her visibility because i'm literally a hardcore stan and forgot this was out today which is ... concerning

Interesting interview about the album, it seems as though it'll have a lot of rock/alt influences (which i am ecstatic about). and she mentions that there's a song from the vault that the OGs will be excited to hear. if we are getting a new studio version of toy i will go absolutely FEREL

Where is the bridge and the third chorus?? The entire song is building up to………… the end!

It's great. Her music was always the best one out of the 5H girls including miss Cabello.

It's behind a pay wall for me. What does it say?

I like this. But a bridge would've been nice.

I like the song but I think she needs another 'Expectations' type of song with a good video to get some buzz :coffee2:

" Jauregui sees her upcoming album as an evolution from her previous two EPs in telling her story and the different versions of herself, including "some that I am letting go of," she says. "When I'm done with the project and it's ready to go, it's more so that version of me is gone."

Jauregui says the new album will feature some vault songs, including one that "OGs are going to be excited about," but also tracks she's worked on over the last four years, reflecting her journey in life and in music. Sonically, she sees "Ego" as an introduction to the album's world, which she says taps into a pop-punk energy inspired by Avril Lavigne, Fall Out Boy, and Paramore.

"I'll always be a pop girlie in my heart, but I have to get my rock off, if you will," she says. "I have a lot to say, and I feel like rock is just such a great medium to express angst and vulnerability, and alternative realms allow me to incorporate the things that make me me. I'm always going to give you a soulful vocal." "
