For those unaware, this and "Ego" are both the first two releases from her upcoming debut album. She's fully independent under her own label, "Attunement Records" as of 2021. Lauren has said she has all the songs ready and was shopping the project around to different distribution companies to help fund the finishing touches/promo endeavors. Apparently she was strung along multiple times and is now funding/releasing the album entirely herself. She's expressed in the past that it may be harder to get backing for this album as it very much explores her social commentary on the current times, as well as how she uses her platform for political activism. 🦋🎸😈

As a longtime Harmonizer, I think this could give all of their solo careers a boost if done correctly. At the very least, it'll give them another taste of the mainstream spotlight. The reunion at the Jonas Brothers concert generated a ton of engagement. They are clearly aware of their brand being "messy girl group" as Dinah has made several comments in response to certain posts. I think they should lean into that idea tbh. It's campy and nostalgic of 2016 times. A reunion tour with shows in the US/Latin America and a few other places could work. I'd suggest they each get solo segments outside of their group performance and even go for a nostalgic play ala Jonas Brothers by having a special guest perform as their "fifth member". I also think a new single could be beneficial. Preferably a HIT where they all have songwriting credits with a high budget music video. Normani is supposedly gearing up for another album cycle (maybe we'll finally get the New Orleans inspired album) and Lauren claims her debut album is coming this year. They could capitalize off the engagement of a reunion tour to gain attention on their solo works. I just hope they have a team who is ready to keep the momentum going around them.

I had a feeling this would be the song to really push her into the mainstream. ✨ The snippet has been going viral since she teased it. She's charted as a feature previously but this could be her first solo entry on the Hot 100. Her pen is unmatched so I'm happy to see her finally getting her flowers. Been a fan since I discovered her Master album back in 2019/2020.
