respectfully in my opinion- you gotta have a side hustle in today's world to increase and diversify your income source(s)

being someone's employee is not enough sadly (most times). You are a COST to them, the whole point of running a business is not just to maximize revenue, but to make your costs as low as possible. This means every employer has an incentive to always keep salaries as LOW as possible because employees are nothing but a (needed) cost to a business.

if you start your own side thing you're no longer capped. The whole upside is yours. So many people make money selling digital goods or getting commissions etc. You can make money with referrals bringing clicks to companies, referral programs on social media etc.

for millennials and Gen Z - That's how you get to six figures = job + side hustle (ideally digital)

plus doing your own thing can be super motivating mentally and show you new sides about yourself you didn't know about. Even better if you do it in a small team.

I'm sorry to hear the average salary in so many parts of the world can be so ruthless in some regards.

out of necessity, I started my own side hustle and it improved my life forever, that's how I recommend anyone wanting to improve their income / quality of life to try it, you have nothing to lose and all to gain 🫶🤍

Gotta become a university professor sis:gaycat1:

I don't know about other countries but to reach six figures in Brazil as a teacher you need at least a doctorate. I do want to try this path though, Middle/High School has not been it for me so far. Hopefully the supervisors will like my masters submission :gaycat6:

Yes, but the profession required 6 figures of student loan debt so in the end it really probably wasn't worth it :suburban:

One of my best friends bought a house around the time I graduated and his final mortgage total was about what my degree cost :gaycat6:

Im just happy im at a point now where im able to save a little bit at least and 401K has been popping off lately :angelo:
