Both are phenomenal albums don't get me wrong but lbr, Gaga's work always gets the short end of the stick when it comes to recognition from other fanbases. Still to this day ARTPOP gets hate for being pretentious, while EUSEXUA parades pretentiousness to her niche audience and is somehow praised. Is there some underlying bias?

Artpop was ahead of its time 

Cause eusexua is good and artpop is not

Literally all the discourse during Eusexua release week was about it being pretentious for having North West featured 

Eusexua is SEVERAL leagues above Artpop in terms of quality, come on now. 

 

The pretention is deserved on Twigs side for this one, for Gaga not as much in 2013.

Gaga was hyping ARTPOP as the album of the millennium I mean, the press release in the OP literally speaks for itself  Even at its most pretentious, Eusexua was marketed toward a niche audience and never made bold claims about revolutionizing the music industry.

Artpop was a case of the marketing not matching the album, so the high-art showcases just fell flat once you pressed play.

 

Eusexua is Twigs' worst album.  While the marketing matches the music, the actual ideas put forth by the album are ****ing stupid.  Like, she read too much philosophical works while writing time the album and decided she was enlightened, but the actual output are just some incredibly basic ideas wrapped up in Rick Owens.  It's a facade that says nothing.  "Pinnacle of human experience" girl
