    the way if she writes more accessible/direct songs like Amy did back in the day raye would be her sucessor.

    not dance pop but more escapisms & flip a switch 

    There are like 100+ raye scraps out there, a lot of them are what people are asking for (dance/pop) -- I would imagine that Raye is finally getting to fully realize what she has actually dreamed about her whole life.  She is making and putting out the music that SHE wants to.

     

    She probably does still really enjoy the whole pop/dance sound but I understand why she wants to break away for now after having literally been churning out those songs for years and years.  I can see her revisiting that genre down the road after she gets another album or two out of her system that itch may come back.  She is not a one-tricky pony so I am excited to see her career unfold now that she is at the reigns.
