album's out in a month and she hasn't even shot the actual cover yet... why is this giving Bongos "we tricked y'all" 2.0

 

 

Thank god that boring instagram picture won't be the official cover. I do kinda hate this new era of 483838 alt covers, cause the alt covers never feel intentional and usually just give "The label quickly picked this out to boost album sales with variants." People are just buying albums with random pictures as the cover that aren't a part of the artist's vision.

this is giving botched planning… vinyls wouldve been WAY into production right now - unless she means the DIGITAL cover

The cover is amazing. Crack possibly taking a spot on the tracklist is a disappointment and I hope it's not true. That song belongs to Scarlet, no matter how much she tried to rework it. If she cut Lipstain for that mess, I'll never forgive her.

I kinda agree, I've always felt that the campy and hilarious Doja never left even during the Scarlet era, but I vividly remember (especially in the beginning) a lot of "i hate my fans, i hate pop music, i hate success" tweets that made people think she was seriously distancing herself from everything she said and did before. 

 

She also said in an interview that she didn't want to actually include PTTR on the album 'cause everyone on her team, including herself, was sure it would have been a smash hit and she didn't want to have one.

Here she goes  I was ready to defend the roses cover but

why are people suddenly acting like temporary placement covers aren't a thing?

even if it were a variant cover, there's nothing wrong with it and it's very on brand for her and the theme.

and her saying the cover hasn't been shot yet isn't an issue either cause it's a picture.....the literal last piece of the puzzle for physicals.

just be happy we're getting physicals at all.

I didn't want to say too much since ya'll were gagging but I'm happy that's not the official cover lol. 

I hate how she/her team are saying it's NOT the album cover when it literally IS one of the album 's covers... Sure it might not be the standard/streaming version, but it is still AN album cover for Vie by Doja Cat. 
 

I'm sure the official cover will be the worst variant atp.
