I've been in her corner non stop since 2019 and I'm not going anywhere. And I'm not being pessimistic, i'm just looking at the facts: D&D faced a ton of troubles and leaks before release as well, now with Don't Click Play it's obvious this era isn't exactly going according to plan either.

you don't know her deal. she was signed to APG then moved directly to Atlantic when their partnership ended in 2020, her deal probably changed.
she didn't have a solo hit in years, Whatever was released under RCA/Sony so Atlantic doesn't care about it. Bebe Rexha had 'I'm Good (Blue)' with Guetta that was bigger than anything Ava released in years but Warner (that Atlantic is a part of) decided to part ways with her anyway.

But why did Atlantic comment sweet supportive things under Wet Hot American Dream mv announcement? and I think they also posted a tiktok hyping Ava up, didn't they? I just don't think that's something they'd do if they were truly done with her

comments, video are posted by interns/promotion staff. this is their job.  I didn't say she is being dropped now, but she is in a very bad situation. labels often let their artists leave at the end of the year so if nothing changes soon they can part ways with her especially since the new CEO is focused on making Atlantic one of the top labels again.

Yeah i can totally see Atlantic dropping her after this album 

 

With a new (good) management team she won't struggle to find a new home though, she has billions of solo streams and multiple hits. Unless she wants to go independent like Bebe

My Oh My wasn't on the album, she said it while promoting SAF. "Made From Scratch" was  supposed to be without samples/interpolations so The Cards wasn't on it either.

she posted and then deleted that album is ready with 15 emojis last August.
Spot a Fake was the first single. 
 - Don't Click Play was probably on it

I wish I could meet her and talk some sense. Her evident sadness in her recent 4th of July performance had me concerned.

Bebe is the one that chose to leave. Warner didn't dump her. Im Blue is the equivalent of Avas Sweet But Psycho, Kings And Queens stop pitting Albanian sisters against each other! Someone posted here that she signed a 4 album deal. She is fine. Atlantic has been showing Ava support. Again let's please have some optimism for our girl. She needs us Avatars now more than ever.

They won't drop her. She is too talented and has made them money before they just need to invest and promote her properly. She just needs a new team and management.

This is something I've been thinking heavily about last night. I rewatched Ava's appearance at the Cyrus podcast (which was last year right after My Oh My came out) and I noticed several interesting things. 

 

For one, she seemed very happy and energetic and excited to share the new music with the world. In all interviews I saw post-D&D she spoke very quietly, her body was tensed up and she seemed kind of disconnected, this was not the case here. She was like a whole new charged up person, no sign of any issues in her career or personal life!

 

If you read between the lines (and with the hindsight we have now), Spot a Fake was ready by then and she probably wanted to release it in June of 2024 (she said she has new music ready for June) - but that was likely the demo version we heard in the initial instagram announcement.

 

When asked about the album's length, she said she made it much quicker than her previous two and that she only has "10 or 11" songs on it.

 

And the weirdest thing is that she said nothing about the songs on the album being slower or sad. She did say it would be very personal, but that's not necessarily Sad. 

 

I SO wish I could know what the actual hell happened behind the scenes during the whole AM3 process. How do you scrap an album that you're proud of, happy about, have ready and start promoting?!?

@psychodiva336 you may be forgetting the Atlantic layoffs and restructure that happened during this time. DCP was probably heard and approved by different people compared to those she was working with before, maybe her switching management influenced the direction too.

This may read like next-level copium, but in retrospect this era hasn't been that disappointing:

 

We've had 5 singles in the last year (including My Oh My and Spot A Fake), 4 music videos, some promo, merch.. which is more than some artists of her caliber offer. The only thing that hasn't really happened is widespread success and a tour. Tbh for a dropped artist with no label, she's giving her fans a lot  At least we aren't in a Dopamine situation

she mentioned that her album will be slower and emotional in other interviews.

"I've had some things happen last year personally that I will talk about on this album, but I wanted to start off, you know, a little fun (with My Oh My). And the we'll get into the really emotional things. It was kind of like therapy. (...)" x

Okay, fair. But this still doesn't really explain why a whole body of work she was satisfied with and happy about was shelved in favor of something with much less budget and not that great critical reception (sadly)
