she mentioned that her album will be slower and emotional in other interviews.

I'm so confused by all of this. So there are obviously 2 albums before this one is what I'm getting from it. The Lostboy one and then Made From Scratch?

Nnn why did she quote the Ed Sheeran tweet

  • This is much better than mayhem. The gaga comparisons are unnecessary when Ava surpassed her long ago.

Last May, when she promoted My Oh My she said it not finished, more likely it's the same album that she said was very personal but she replaced My Oh My with some new song recorded late. also she worked with Lostboy in October 2023 and again in May 2024.

Ohhh, the meltdown I would've had if AM3 was an album full of emotional ballads :bibliahh:

LOVE this promo pic from Made From Scrapped, btw. Stunning

i mean she probably didn't have like a draft tracklist title or anything but listening to My Oh My, Jackpot, Lonely People and The Cards it's very obvious that the album sessions were heading towards a very specific direction :rip: it should've stayed like that imo

because it feels like Don't Click Play is made out of D&D scraps, songs recorded for Made from Scratch and maybe a couple new songs like Lost Your Faith?

she should title it 'Made from Scraps'

I put all those songs on a playlist and have been blasting them for 2 weeks. So much better than DCP ****

so true. in a perfect world she would've tried to sell a concept/theme for her albums. like diamonds & dancefloors could've easily had a 80s slasher concept, most of the songs have halloween-related themes like sleepwalker, turn off the lights, ghost, etc. she just needed to get rid of the worst songs like one of us and maybe you're the problem and add a couple more like costume (one of her best songs hello?)

and then she could've released the lostboy album with a spy/casino theme like someone said a few pages ago (should've also been named [X] & [X] for consistency purposes). it's like she could really elevate her music showing that she cares just by changing very few details but it seems like she puts out anything with no thought behind it. heaven & hell was a basic concept (and could've been explored a lot more) but at least there was something else going on with the music at the time and it was her debut. little did we know it was only going to get worse from there

You did NOT just say that

and I will say it again, let's throw weapons and in the dark while you're at it

It's wild how much better The Cards, Jackpot and My Oh My are compared to what we've been given so far.

Fight For Me is great, though, at least there's that on the album

This is something I've been thinking heavily about last night. I rewatched Ava's appearance at the Cyrus podcast (which was last year right after My Oh My came out) and I noticed several interesting things.

For one, she seemed very happy and energetic and excited to share the new music with the world. In all interviews I saw post-D&D she spoke very quietly, her body was tensed up and she seemed kind of disconnected, this was not the case here. She was like a whole new charged up person, no sign of any issues in her career or personal life!

If you read between the lines (and with the hindsight we have now), Spot a Fake was ready by then and she probably wanted to release it in June of 2024 (she said she has new music ready for June) - but that was likely the demo version we heard in the initial instagram announcement.

When asked about the album's length, she said she made it much quicker than her previous two and that she only has "10 or 11" songs on it.

And the weirdest thing is that she said nothing about the songs on the album being slower or sad. She did say it would be very personal, but that's not necessarily Sad.

I SO wish I could know what the actual hell happened behind the scenes during the whole AM3 process. How do you scrap an album that you're proud of, happy about, have ready and start promoting?!?

Once again this had to due with the subject matter. Ava was NOT SUBTLE at all about this being about Cirkut and Madison. The scrapped Spot A Fake video literally has a Madison Love lookalike in the video. Her and Madison were also throwing shots at each other on Twitter last year. This mixed in with no team and her label itself going through a whole restructure definitely ****** her over and now she's essentially starting from scratch and alone all over again. I dont blame her for looking and feeling defeated. Cirkut literally unfollowed her right when she dropped Spot A Fake. Then the delays happened. She scrapped an album. And Spot A Fake was all of the sudden omitted? Do the math people

This may read like next-level copium, but in retrospect this era hasn't been that disappointing:

We've had 5 singles in the last year (including My Oh My and Spot A Fake), 4 music videos, some promo, merch.. which is more than some artists of her caliber offer. The only thing that hasn't really happened is widespread success and a tour. Tbh for a dropped artist with no label, she's giving her fans a lot :dies: At least we aren't in a Dopamine situation

She hasn't been dropped by her label though. Us having delays, scrapped album(s?), scrapped music videos, no promotion, no management is alot to deal with especially when we already went through this with her last album cycle. Grateful this isnt a Dopamine situation i agree

She looks gorgeous and is serving here. You can literally see the fire in her eyes. I hope that she can get back to this. She at least needs to attend award shows. Like move do something

Like I know some of yall think its cute to drag her while shes currently going through a multitude of legitimate professional and personal crisis but we've seen it before with the right people, right song, right promotion she CAN serve. She has the looks and can actually sing

I pray that she puts those songs out on the deluxe. Listen to us sis!

Diamonds And Dancefloors the album is fine as it is. The only criticism are the short lengths of certain songs that ruin the flow of the momentum of the album. Maybe You're The Problem is easily one of the best songs on that record and her last real solo hit so omitting that from the album would've been Ludacris. Not pushing Ghost or Sleepwalker as singles will always be her biggest fumble. I HATE THAT SHE DIDN'T KEEP A CONSISTENCY WITH HER ALBUM TITLES. DON'T CLICK PLAY IS NOT IT. PARTY AND PLAY WAS RIGHT THERE AVA!

Saw another user post that SAINTS AND SINNERS would've also been a cute concept.

She NEEDS to explore DARK POP and give us a whole album of her PSYCHO side assp

Lostboy is amazing. I'm so confused why we haven't gotten a song by him yet??

It not being on the tracklist makes me think she couldn't secure the sample, why else would she scrap a banger like that

WHO ARE YOU. These are my 2 all time favorite Ava songs and I will never stand for this disrespect… what the actual hell…

Skipwalker and Last Night On Earth are the real enemy, not my bops

Now everyone loves My Oh My when last year the hate was unbearable. ATRL it seems.

So many hit threads about miss Ava lately. She always manages to win somehow

:ryan3:

I can't believe all this D&D slander I'm seeing. There isn't a single dud on that album lbr :giraffe:

it's weaker than other songs from the same sessions, it feels too rushed with the second verse, bridge and key change happening in less than 20 seconds

but it's still miles better than WHAD and Lovin Myself lol

D&D was such a solid album. I play it a lot still and it sounds so harmonious to me.
