I just don’t get it, she’s in another imperial era. The whole point of rerecording was to screw over the stolen versions and right now people are streaming the OG versions more than ever. It makes no sense to delay, I really thought we’d have another re-recording  by now, or at least an announcement!!

I think it's not too farfetched to assume that following the success of Red TV, she actually got in new talks about buying her old masters. 

 

It's just pretty obvious that 1989 TV is done. In the span of 1 year she wrote two original albums + started re-recording Fearless TV, so she could definitely managed to do more than just re-recording Red TV since May last year. Wildest Dream was released last year, Bad Blood is re-recorded too, I'm 100% sure that this one is done and ready.

 

I'm convince she has the material (1989 TV or another rerecording), but is sitting on it because she's in negotiation about her old masters. The only other thing I can imagine is that she is waiting for the summer for 1989 because it would fit with the season (but I believe she would have announced it by now). 

 

Do someone here know a bit about masters? I have a question because I checked other albums in which the artist owns the master and in most of them the copyright is like that:

 

- Melted Stone (Adele company) under exclusive license to Columbia Records.

- OVO music (Drake company) under exclusive license to Republic Records

And the same for Beyonce, Olivia Rodrigo and other artists who own their masters but in Taylor case the copyright is just “Taylor Swift” not the part of under exclusive license, which is the difference?

That's really interesting, I'd never noticed (too busy streaming Taylor to pay attention to the other girlies)

 

I wonder if she has a better ownership deal with different licensing terms or something  

I hate Twitter for making think there was an ounce of a chance that Taylor was gonna show up 

this puta better be preparing a short film for 1989 TV and a folkmore kind of vault for ST
