So, the albums definitely her weakest, having that terrible ep tacked into it doesn't help, but she needs to stop with so many collaborations. Half of them sound like they can't be bothered to do it...I've said it so many times but that Bossman verse is one of the worst I've heard, really ruins the song.

I use to be excited to hear and see new ciara music but this is so meh

The worst thing Ciara did was work with Theron Thomas. Something changed so dramatically artistically for her. Idk what be happening in those sound rooms but man 

Winning, Run It Up and Wassup remain the only skips to me. Better Thangs could have replaced all 3 of them. 
 

I want the deluxe songs to see how I feel about this as an overall album. I think it's lowkey better than Beauty Marks in terms of songs I'll revisit, but the production on BM felt more full.

Roll out was very disorganized and not strong. 

 

I also feel like all of casual fans didn't bother when they realized its just a extended EP

I canceled my vinyl last min. If was only 12$ just not interested in this era at all. 
 

I actually enjoyed the Jump, Better things etc songs but they were scrapped from this project.

To say this is her weakest or not good is insane! If someone who has never heard the prior released songs on this  album was to listen they def would think it was one of her strongest. I listened to the 3 new songs and was like "damn these are the best ones" forgetting all about ecstasy, how we roll, type of party, forever, and lowkey! 
 

She's dead ass wrong for putting these old ass songs on this album but if you listen to it straight thru THIS ALBUM IS GOOD AF!

He literally hands her his leftovers......the songs he couldn't place elsewhere.....and she just takes them because at this point, he's probably one of the very few songwriters/producers still willing to work with her (or he's getting paid either way, so he doesn't care).

 

Honestly, I think this applies to a lot of the people she collaborates with. Sometimes I'll hear a feature and just think, "why on earth did you agree to this?"

 

It comes across less like a real artistic choice and more like she's settling for whatever she can get.

I don't have the EP in my library. I think iTunes is too dumb nowadays and can't index two differents things under the same name. I hate the Apple Music app for Windows.

 

OT: Low Key is very good. I didn't care for the EP and that's half of the album so... She clearly wasn't insipired to put this project together.

i still cant believe we got "album" and its actually 3 new songs, i dont get strategy because shes beyond the point of gaining new fans, everybody knows who ciara is, if they didnt listen to ciara by now they never will and reason to do so def wouldnt be track like type a party

I really don't understand y'all's issue with the old songs being on the album. Ciara did a radio interview this morning and the interviewer even said her fav songs so far were brb and run it. There's a whole world of people who never even knew those songs were ever released. Today we got 3 new songs. Monday we'll get 4 more new songs, never heard. That's 7 new songs. For an album, that's pretty standard. But since it's Ciara it's cool to bash her. I get it
