Enjoying doing first listen thoughts on new albums lately

Freedom - way too long of a dramatic intro for how boring the song turned out to be. In my mind a song about getting your freedom back would be a little more…rocky? Poppy? Something more than what she gave 

 

Joyride- classic, groundbreaking, never been done before (but have I listened to it much since it came out last year? No lol)

 

Yippi - first time I've listened since the snippets came out. I see the vision, and could see myself liking it as a cute background song but nothing more

 

Delusional - if I'm being so honest I still have resentment (stream now on iTunes) for it because of the AI cover. Basic song 

 

Red Flag - again, cute song. Idk anything too memorable off first listen for me. Nice easy to song along to chorus 

 

Love Forever - and again…cute but boring song. Girl Kesha wtf is this. 3 duds in a row. Love Again it is not 

 

The One - a little more interesting?..I guess lol. I now see the vision board for this album was less joyride sound and more chill sound 

 

Boy Crazy - finally, some good ******* food. The blatent only fire copying, the Kesha delivery returning. This is what I was led to believe the album would be! 

 

Glow - ok Kesha vibes again, let's keep it going!  But the song is definitely weird and will need time to grow on me. I like that it's at least memorable with its weird chorus instead of a boring flop like the middle half of album 

 

Too Hard - ok she's cute! I'm liking the end of this album the most so far! Nice "simple" but does what it needs to do well

 

Catherdral - ok I get the lyrics are like "I found myself again after losing myself" but why end the song with a piano ballad song. Would have rather had it as an opener and maybe a more upbeat version of Freedom as the end? I guess it's not a bad song, but a Praying it is not.  Wish it had more of that rock vibe that it had for like 10 seconds near the end, like a My Immortal where the end is pure guitars after piano most of it. 

 

Overall, on first listen, I'd give it a 6/10. I didn't hate it so I will definitely be listening again to see if anything hits differently the second time and makes me appreciate it more 

 

I just finished listening and wait, this is so good, I don't care much for Freedon but the rest are pretty decent or straight good songs. She deserves to do good with this project.

Remix this with Olivia Rodrigo or Chapell Roan NOW! 

RED FLAG. is the single that needs to happen, my CheesyLoving Delusional/The One ass will have to agree with ATRL on this one. 

For some reason RED FLAG reminds me and has tinges of Your Love Is My Drug. Maybe it's the uplifting tone or nostalgic sound yet still current like a younger, evolved sister.
