How often do you get anglefished?

Featured Replies

Apparently, 'anglefished' isn't an actual word online, but 'catfish' is. Anglefishing, though, is when someone takes photos from certain angles to look better. How often do you get anglefished on Grindr for instance?

Just look at the guy from that angle, don't shame people for not wanting to take pics like a 40 year old divorced dad :sorry:

that's not catfishing imo, most people post nicer photos of themselves. as long as it's recent and not heavily edited i think it's fine, the problem is when people upload themselves from 5 years ago or use facetune

Almost every time, I guess.

Sometimes people look even better than in their photos. One time, this very beautiful boy had a beautiful picture on grindr, and he was even better in person.

It was a very good night.

at this point if u dont realise that people are OBVIOUSLY going to post their best angles online then its all on u.

wtf do yall want me to do, post pics of me looking like a crackhead? :deadbanana:

Y'all just making up words at this point, of course a person will have more angles than a high angle close up s:wan:

We really can't do **** :gaycat6:

Some people have better side profile than front, give us a break please

I once met up with a guy that looked NOTHING like the pics, like that was a whole different man from the one in the pics. Yes, I knew the pics had filter but I didn't think he would look like a completely different person. :deadbanana4: I don't even think age was that much of a factor but in the pics he definitely looked skinnier.

He was nice though at least. I mean I didn't want to kiss him and even he mentioned that so it was a bit awkward but nothing too weird and it was low key fun after all. :bird:

From experience MOST ppl look better than in pics, truly. I've seen some dudes gay or straight look astonishing in person compared to pics.

I have never heard the term anglefished but I take selfies with snapchat filters allllll the time so I guess I am :bird:

Not often. Precisely because of this, I always want multiple pics of someone. Since sometimes I've seen someone's main picture and then scroll through the rest of them and see the main picture looks nothing like them

I'm sorry, but people who filter the living **** out of their photos have several mental health issues.

it's so easy to clock someone who is a facetune fiend tho…this is why you social proof people before you meet them irl

I think most of you misunderstood my point. They may or may not use filters, but it's about the angles they use to make their pictures look better. For instance, tilting their chin up to appear more flattering, using a side profile, or another technique. Basically, taking the picture from a flattering angle.
