I did. It was becoming a problem. But as I said before, it was only supposed to be a ATRL+ feature. I’m not sure if when it became available to everyone.

But honestly, BlueSky absolutely sucks. I can't get into it. We need to wait until the next major social media app takes over. 

Let's be real. No one uses Bluesky. Banning Twitter links morally is great but it's not gonna turn out well imo.

I have no horse in this race since I may have used the hide feature 10 times max in all these years, but as a general comment on ATRL+ I feel it's not really fair to have some features locked behind a previously paid tier (it's been what? 10 years since it was a thing) with no way for new users to access them.

 

I know things aren't easy with the owner and whatnot, but it doesn't look like ATRL+ is coming back anytime soon so you might consider rolling back the "premium" features to all users while keeping the "ATRL+ Member" as a special tag for early contributors (+ the exclusive subforum iirc). Just an idea.

 

But maybe it's too much work since the Discord server might come soon, idk

Outside of duplicate posts which oftentimes come from a glitch...what's the benefit of hiding post excessively?

banning twitter links is dumb tbh yes the site is trash but if i post a link to a tweet of something im just asking you to look at the tweet, laugh/react and go  not join up for the nazi party. it's in no ways endorsing elon or whatever. if your mind goes to that im sorry, but bffr  just don't click them if you feel that strongly

Banning twitter links is a noble idea but there's so much news and info that's not on bluesky and allowing screenshots from twitter but not links would potentially have an inverse effect of a boycott since people would have to search through twitter to find the tweet referenced in the screen shot to verify it's legitimacy

Plus, it will take years for even the most popular twitter memes to all be moved over to bluesy, let alone the flop ones from 5 years ago I have sitting in my bookmarks that are completely forgotten 

 

There's just too much stan culture and history on twitter 

i think a total ban on twitter will lead to too much resistance. banning it all together is too drastic of a change considering how much users need twitter to simply make threads more effectively.

 

maybe there can be a official reminder to encourage users to copy + paste tweets/twitter images so an embedded post isn't required. Or instead just link to the original content with articles and YT clips on top of an embedded twitter post so it minimalizes twitter interaction 

Censorship is never a good idea.
