Why was this thread not merged with the Charts Thread?

It took y'all 5 min to run in and merge a thread that was made talking about Coachellas streaming boost but this one is allowed to get it's own thread?

I don't normally come into HQ to complain but I actually think it's worth a discussion. What are the boundaries for making separate threads about chart positions if some are going to be merged while others stay up? Do we have to wait until the album is back in the top 10 to rediscuss? Or is it just an issue with streaming numbers since there is an already existing thread about streaming?

Would love for the Mods to come up with a good answer for why deep-rooted biases are influencing decisions they should be making objectively in the first place.

thread in question had a single report that it was flamebait which isn't warnable in base threads and it isn't messy enough to be closed. A different mod might think differently and end up closing or merging it but reporting is the best way of getting more mod eyes on a thread
