Can love make you do things that you don't want to do? Make you weak and  and obedient? Make you not think clearly?

Love is a strength but I would not want to be "in" love, if that makes sense.

If you confuse love with attachment then it is in fact weakness

Not necessarily. I think clinginess is a weakness. That or investing too much time and energy looking for love bc you don't know how to be alone. Love of self for example is a huge strength.

Definitely if we're talking about romantic love. I see some of my strongest and wisest friends become completely delulu and irrational, it's only 'healthy' while it's working both ways but it's still codependency which is dangerous

There's no such a thing as love for romantic/sexual partners. Infatuation, attraction, horniness, etc yes. Love though? It just makes no sense. So if you do actually feel it then yes, it's a major weakness.

I think love can mean many things. To me real love it equal for caring about someone, the way you care about your parents, your friends or the meaningful people in your life. 

 

Romantic love is more of a moment in my opinion, that can come and go. Caring about others is a different story, even if the romance is over.

That depends on what you define as weakness. Having someone you love means you have a softness in your heart that is linked to them and if anything were to happen to them, it would cause you a lot of emotional damage that you will not recover from but be able to live with more as time goes on.

well meaning making it harder to say no because you love them them, or being hesitant to furthering yourself that can cause a strain.
