well nobody topped her yet :giraffe:

That GGGB - ANTI run is legendary. She was truly steps above her peers in hitmaking ability there. It's no wonder why she dropped music as soon as she could so as to never experience a "flop" era.

Her run is super impressive considering how short her run was ('05-'16) however I think Madonna, Beyoncé (incl. Destiny's Child), Shakira and Taylor Swift surpass her, while Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande equal her.

You forgot Janet, boo.

The way I can't even pick a favorite single from her.

well nobody is going to think of rihanna as a singer let alone a hitmaker soon if ahe doesn't release something

girl what is dis question… rihanna is thee legend

Love Rihanna but she sings on songs other people wrote and produced… Which hits did she make

Her GGB -> ANTI run was iconic.

It'll be interesting to see if she releases new music again, will she launch to new heights. I think we're likely to see an even bigger renaissance from her. Even my parents, who hate pop music, want new Rihanna music more than anyone I know. :rip:

there is no correlation

Singing it is a part of making it. What is a song without the vocals chile.

Sorry, when I think of a hit maker I think of the people behind the scenes who actually put together the song. No shade to Rihanna because she's a cultural icon. That's just how I view that word. And since I'll probably keep getting quotes, that's all I'll have to say about that. Frank Sinatra was a legend, but he was not a "hitmaker." Y'all can use the word however you want.

They all have a bigger overall career than rihanna, but rihanna is the number one in hits and singles

Let's be honest she def IS. Or at least WAS until she took a break. I'm sorry but her still being SO HIGH up and ahead in streaming numbers as much as she is and not having had released ANY music in nearly a decade is all the proof she needs.

I guarantee you if she were still releasing music rn she'd be above Taylor and everybody else lmao. With a CLEAR gap. The only one touching her hitmaking ability is Ariana Grande. She's literally the ONLY one. :deadbanana2:

she could have had more #1 songs than any other artist if she kept releasing.

I love Janet so much and I think she probably has the best hits, however I wouldn't say that her hits are super well known worldwide in comparison to some of the other girls [looks at JT and Jan's management :rogue:]

The reason why I think that is because I'd estimate that Rihanna has about 15-20 big hits while the others have about 20-25 each.
