Since LANA was originally supposed to be a separate body of work, which of these SZA albums do you prefer? (I included the Deluxe tracks for Ctrl bc imo they don't really add or take away any edge for the album). LANA is just there to me. I would say Ctrl has higher highs, but SOS is overall a more solid body of work. If you add SOS's pre-album releases (at least Hit Different, Good Days, and I Hate U, which actually make more sense with the previous era to me) to Ctrl, I would def have put it as #1.

CTRL is objectively the best, and most cohesive. But SOS has the range I fear :WAP:

LANA is great as well, but the first 2 Albums are better

CTRL > SOS > LANA

ย

She's kinda lost her magicย

Listening to Ctrl feels like a homework for me even if everyone says it's her best work. I simply can't enjoy it as a full body of work. Maybe I find it a little bit pretentious?

ย

On the other hand, SOS and LANA are such endorphin inducers. They flow so elegantly from beginning to end even with a few lackluster tracks here and there. Two of my favorite albums ever.

ย

So imo SOS>LANA>Ctrl

ctrl > lana > sosย

ย

maybe it's recency bias for putting LANA that high but i adore kitchen, diamond boy, 30 for 30, saturn and another life rn.

ย

I rarely revisit SOSโ€ฆ.trult a downgrade from ctrl despite having classics like gone girl, good days and snooze. ย ย

:clack:

love ctrl but i always found it a bit overrated especially with how each release has 1-2 fillers and that one is the shortest so there isn't as much room for error

sos > lana > ctrl

it's between SOS and CTRL for me, but CTRL seems to be more quality packed. SOS has my favorite SZA songs (Open Arms, Good Days, Far) but a ton of filler

ย

too late, notice me, conceited could all be the same song, I still get confused on which is whichย ย :toofunny3:

I'm gonna give such an unpopular opinion lol and I'm trying to not let recency bias get me but girl I'm really obsessed rn!

ย

Lana > SOS > CTRL

ย

and like CTRL absolutely has some of her best songs on it, but she's been getting better and better at creating cohesive albums. CTRL is always gonna be a classic, but SOS is brilliant, and Lana feels like a new artistic peak to meย :gayorkcat4:

Ctrl > Lana >>> SOS

ย

I found it hard to get through SOS when it was released. I'll give it another try, but Lana did not have that problem. I enjoyed it far more and was very pleased to, since I was a big fan of Ctrl.

I find these rankings don't work until I've had equal amount of time to let each album digest but we all know CTRL is #1 and that'll never change.

ย

CTRL >>>>>>>>>>>> LANA > SOS.

ย

LANA is hitting harder on first 20 listens than SOS did for meย
