korea in general evolved extremely fast but i think the entertainment industry evolved way faster than some other things which is why there's a disconnect with how modern it appears while the medias censorship and control looks like it's from the military dictatorship era

yea but the same thread has been telling @JO1s to stop mentioning his faves on here even though they sing in korean, promote in korea and are from one of the biggest companies in korea so i was curious

girl... he's BEEN cancelled. every single ad of with his face were tore down since march. he's been on the news all the time since then and he's been receiving an incredible amount of hate that is not comparable with any female idol or idol in general has been getting recently (and rightfully so). his life is basically over and has been over for weeks now

one could argue that singing in korean doesn't necessarily make someone a kpop artist, since sk has many music genres that aren't categorized as kpop

but yeah, it's whatever really gnarly is still the best song a gg has released this year regardless
