I still wonder why they decided to release Walkin on Water as a title track when the song would've fitted better as an album intro only.
It's so underwhelming, no wonder its flopping compared to Chk Chk Boom :weeps:

If I'm not mistaken, Kpop acts in a lot of cases are apparently not allowed to perform their Japanese songs outside of Japan.

(According to ChatGPT):

Kpop companies often partner with Japanese record labels when releasing Japanese songs. These collaborations can come with specific licensing agreements, meaning the Japanese label might have exclusive rights to distribute and promote the music in Japan. As a result, Kpop groups might not have the freedom to perform these songs globally, since the rights are tied to the Japanese market. Essentially, there could be restrictions that prevent the artists from performing their Japanese tracks outside of Japan due to business deals that are designed to keep the content localized.

@SchmoodRing Why are you reacting confused on my post, when I was just giving reasons for why Kpop acts aren't performing their Japanese songs globally? :snowman:

Some of you are really clicking on that reaction button for simply just reacting without making any sense :rip:

The floppage is deserved. So they will think twice before releasing their worst single again

It's crazy because they released a Top 3 title track (Chk Chk Boom) in the same year

Exactly!

Btw, what's your solo ranking from the album after the songs and MV's being released for a while now?

When I take the songs and MV's into consideration, and look at the overall execution of the solos, this is my final ranking:

Spoiler

1. Lee Know - Youth

The best and most commercial song and MV. Like everything was executed so well from the song to the MV with plot, choreo etc., like it actually felt like a Lee Know solo debut and was basically flawless :jonny2:

2. Bang Chan - Railway

The song and MV is great, though I felt like instead of the vampire/Halloween concept, the MV would've fitted better with the same aesthetic he has when he performs the song on stage aka Red Lights style :bird:

3. I.N - Hallucination

This bop, kI.Ng really surprised all of us, like I never expected his solo would serve the most sex among all the members. I'm glad that he tried something different instead of doing a ballad or something :clap3:

4. Han - Hold My Hand

The song is good and very anime, though the MV is kinda simple compared to others :flower:

5. Seungmin - As we are

A cute ballad with a sad story telling MV. Though it sadly kinda got overshadowed. Though I think he would've benefitted more if he did like I.N and tried something different :bird:

6. Hyunin - So good

A first, this was actually my second favorite solo after Youth, but as time went on it ranked lower on my list. The MV also just very simple, basically a typical dance performance video :lakitu:

7. Felix - Unfair

This is one of the few times where the lyrics completely ruined a song for me. I know Felix was inspired by Beauty and The Best when he wrote the lyrics to the song, but not him literally name dropping the characters from the film, which is kinda corny :skull: It would've ranked higher if it had better lyrics, since the song itself is actually good, but the lyrics are simply too distracting. The MV was gorgeous though :bird:

8. Changbin - Ultra

The song is alright and very Changbin, but when I look at the overall execution from the song to the MV, this is my least favorite. I also feel like the MV was also way too dark (literally) to the point where we could barely see Changbin or anything sometimes

Liz has visual, talent and personality. She's so funny and likable,

If Starship give her the same opportunity and payola like Wonyoung & Yujin, she can be as popular as these 2. Even her current photocards' price now are in the same price tier as Wonyoung & Yujin.

Liz & Rei deserve more payola :xtinass:

For Liz: Starship should create a show for her (like Rei's) incorporating singing (her main talent) and talk show (based on her natural funny/dorky personality). And try booking drama OST for her throughout the year

For Rei: Her image in the group is pretty solid now imo. Tiktoker and the ultimate aegyo cutie pie. She's the best during Attitude's chereo during the sample, she's just glowing during that part

My god, their vocals. The first clip has me ascending :jonny2:

A clip of Earthquake by Jisoo is out there circulating
