H2H is more tripleS than NJ, though. If you look at early NJ - Attention and HB - in particular, they have that school girl concept, yes, but they're very colourful and more reminiscent of some cross between Jpop band Speed and early SNSD.

 

tripleS actually reimagined the "relatable schoolgirl trope" that we're seeing a lot of today. Generation was released prior to Ditto. 

 

 

 

Mind you, I don't think this really matters and I'm sure H2H is stealing from both, but I just think it's interesting anyway. The concept is so broad that I understand why every band from Riize to TWS also uses it as a foundation, usually before branching out into other areas. 

 

But I also think we're at a time in Kpop where debuts are judged really harshly and it's important to have an identity from the get go. How many BP clones have we had in the last year alone? And they're all basically irrelevant. So SM really has its work cut out for it. I'm sure they're up to the task.

Yeah there are some gems but this era is completely forgettable, it's their first dud I fear 

 

 

I will be skipping H2H if this is the music and aesthetic direction they're going for, that and being majority fetuses

The fact that he's choosing to debut with a temporary group over staying with his own group says a lot.

 

Also, this dispute starting just because MBK wants J-Min to do both BAE173 and Close Your Eyes activities at the same time is completely unreasonable. None of these survival shows have done that since produce 101 season 1. 

And then Hangyul is with Polarix and I'm wondering what's gonna happen there. They don't even have a Korean company to promote with yet which is a damn mess.

Tbf, Triples are literally NJ copy themselves and was literally the first Kpop group to ever copy them though. I remember that they were even labeled as "NuguJeans" by people during Generation era.
They even copied the same Hype Boy set:

H2H are more mysterious, feminine and romantic in feeling than newjeans or triples. I doubt we will see them in streetwear in their first few releases. They also don't feel quirky like Illit. They're a FRESH take on the school girl concept.

The MV is so BADDDDDDDDDDDDD. The modern day office lady inspired outfits hurt my eyes   (Especially the blue / black / gray set)
