Pre-Jexit Sica they could never make me hate you. This was her era. Just like how CMIYC was Sooyoung's, and all the other ones were Taeyeon's.

On a more serious note, I think there's a legitimate discussion to be had about whether a silly line is camp or cringe. And IMO delivery of the line and overall vibe definitely plays a major part.

 

"My Naevis we love you" on its own is cringe. But the fun, self-aware way it's delivered (they obv know its stupid) and performed makes it camp.

 

Meanwhile "mafia ties going back to the old world".... It's delivered in a way that takes itself too seriously. That's why it's stuck in cringe territory.

They're working more closely with scooter braun than the other hybe acts. I don't think photo cards and light sticks is their end game. Gabriela was a Charli XCX and Andrew Watt song, they're out for regular hits and mass appeal in the west.

I hate to, yet again, be the one defending these girls, but the exact same thing happened with both of Beyonce's last 2 tours and it's most likely something Live Nation mandates in contracts now. Dynamic pricing means a fomo rush during presale/onsale which makes tickets so extremely unaffordable that whatever inventory is there after that rush doesn't sell and prices tank. I saw it first hand for multiple dates for Ren and CC. BP switched from AEG to Live Nation for this tour.

 

If it's anything like Beyonce's touring situation, they're going to post record grosses because of it. It's a dirty tactic and its happening to other stadiums acts under this promoter in North America.

Having seen some Live Nation contracts from leaks and whatnot, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if none of this extra money they're scalping fans for actually goes back to the artist and they found a way to run off with all of it. This industry runs off of taking advantage of fans and ruining the health of artists for pennies on the dollar even more than the idol industry.

I don't think it's against BlackPink this time, there has been one for Stray Kids tour and before that one for I don't know which nugu boygroup which ticketing had been a nightmare in the US.
