TTPD is way better in my opinion, and I would bet that more Swifties agree with me than not, while it's the other way around by some margin for casual fans and perhaps the general public (the latter i

I love both of them but Midnights has the higher highs so I'm choosing that

I have always mentally separated The Anthology with Tortured Poets standard version. Because of this, I will say I think Midnights is better than Tortured Poets, but The Anthology outshines them both as bodies of work. I have been someone who had all albums on repeat after their release (The Anthology disc has been in my car playing since it's physicals came out and will probably continue to be until her next release) and hold pretty positive opinions on all three. But there are 3 immediate slips I have on Tortured Poets Department now over time and I cannot say the same for Midnights (standard issue). Also, Midnights has the huge plus that it has Maroon which is in my top three Taylor tracks.

at least midnights has a couple of great songs and anti hero is probably her best single. TTPD has absolutely nothing worth mentioning

i do love Taylor overall and we can agree to disagree, but if you slipped most of these songs individually somewhere on the tracklist of Midnights, i personally don't think it'd sound that different in the grand scheme of things. that's just me though! :michael:

It's definitely not like a massive genre shift or anything, but I do think the Country tinged sounds of But Daddy I Love Him and I Can Fix Him, and the kinda breezy Lillith Fair sounds of songs like Guilty As Sin and So High School would sound a bit out of place on Midnights, which definitely followed a more night synth/alt/pop sound along the lines of Jack's side project Red Hearse.  TTPD had a few typical Taylor + Jack songs like My Boy and Down Bad, but I think there's more of a live instrumentation led singer/songwriter-y element to a lot of TTPD.  The Anthology side especially would sound out of place on Midnights and more at home on folklore/evermore.

fillernights because of like... 4 tracks but both albums are garbage

TTDP, may be bloated but it's highs are soooo good unlike MIDnights.
